Not the best results, but some is better than none. I think the string should be put on the back of the lens instead to remove that vertical line. True boketh does not have the tops and bottoms chopped off, not sure if this can be corrected or does any one care anyway? The lens or something was off, as the pictures were blurry, not sharp and crisp. Needs work or a different lens or something. Keep trying.

He was my master when i was a kid in his nyc school. After a few years he moved the school out of nyc. Great man lost touch with him about 20 years ago. That was the last time i was able to see him while on vacation he came over and gave me a book to continue my studies 🤷🏻‍♂️ just the type of man he was.

I think the video is wonderful, but if you want to really emulate Emmanuel lubezki’s style, try closing down the aperture for a deeper depth of field.

You do realize that you need a donut ring or "nun's knickers" (black out fabric) between the rear of the matte box and the front of the lens, right? I mean, without it, light leaks make that rig useless. Unless you like light leaks all over your footage.
