Nobody said anything about battling in Ipsen's place either, you thought you missed something, you didn't! The gimmick of this dungeon btw is that weapons with low attack deal more damage. In a lot of the chests you find your party's starter weapons, trying to give you extra clues other than the visual upside-down Ispen's castle

With weapons and armour it is hard to choose without all the information, also better stats, especially on weapons are almost always better, same with armour but then you forgo elemental resistance. It's all a balancing act until you know the game quite well! With the treasure hunter: every chest in the game gives you a point, chocobo treasures found on the world map give 2 points. By this point in the game if you get all the treasures you can quite easily have a treasure ranking of S (the top one). Without the choco treasures it is really difficult to reach S rank in treasure hunting, so don't feel too bad! H btw is the worst rank 😭🤣

Glad you have Dagger back! And good on you for finding that secret Quan scene! Actually the bubbles you can see are linked to the chocobo as well. The thing is, instead of breeding like FF7 here the choco evolves with the minigame, so a lot of other sidequests are tied to the chocobo locomotional skills.

32:40 What I love about this hair cutting scene in particular is that the cut is actually uneven, like it should be. Lots of shows that do this end up with hair that looks like a hairstylist took hours to perfect the cut, but here it's a realistic, imperfect cut. edit: btw. not only girls do a change up after a break up or smth. Dudes often jump into a new hobby, go to the gym to bulk up etc. if you have long hair, cutting that is simply an easy change, also one that signifies change after a long time, since it takes a lot of time to groom out a long mane. When I had my last really hurtful breakup I cut my hip length red mane down to a Noctis style cut (back when the game was still supposed to be FF XIII: Versus). I literally took PR pics of Noctis to the stylist and said "That please". Bad decision. I was very soon, very annoyed to have to get up an hour early just to style that, which led to using a razor to get to no hair at all. Now, ~15 years later I'm back at my mane with the knowledge I have 2 states of good looking hair. As long as can be and none. None will come naturally soon enough, so I'm enjoying it long for as long as I can and hope that age will gift me with nice strands of white in between the red.

I definitely prefer Garnet with longer hair but seeing as it is a way of her outwardly expressing her character development into a woman, I approve.
