I’m wont be reading that. Im sick of the obsession with ‘injustice’ and the terminally victimised. Women have copped hellish treatment often. But i am completely sick of hearing them go on about it, as if we didn’t know about it (Im a woman, by the way). The ‘Me too’ business is about women standing up and saying: “Me too ! I’ve been abused!”. Ok, fine. Now, if they were even interested in bringing honesty to the world-(as they claim to be doing with this ‘Me Too’ business)- then wouldn’t they be standing up and also saying: “Me too !! I’ve been selfish, I, too, and have hurt people in other ways during my life ! Ive hurt women too!”. It is a fact that people hurt people all the time. So-why the ‘me too’ so slanted? It’s pure dishonesty. Half-truths are the worst, form of dishonesty , because they show a true fact you can’t argue with, as a method of covering something else up. Much cleverer than a straight forward lie. It’s really just as Carl Jung many things a century ago- “Writers and politicians unleash psychic epidemics upon the world “. This is one such epidemic. And i know people have been racist often over the years. But also have been the exact opposite. I know a number of black people, who are so against this obsession that many blacks currently have with racism. And people are actively looking for something to be offended by. To the point where you cant be honest or have any VISIBLE imperfect thoughts. Review George Orwell’s book 1984 first yourself in private, mate-and you’ll see the parallels to today. (And-the BIG one -hiding your imperfect judgement of others, and presenting a ‘nice’, non-sexist, non-racist, accepting of every gender or other fanciful concept anyone decides, just so are seen as non-homophobic etc-but not because you really feel that way-ie, sucking up to people-does not heal those judgements. Instead, they go underground, and become a dark shadow.. The fourth person came to me and said, , only the other day- “the more political correctness, the more random violence and school shooters there will be.”. Lots of people are realising them. I hope enough do- in time). This pretending to be nice, also creates mental illness in a person, and personal suffering. Its no fun when you can’t be yourself, is it? Its a terrible oppression. I feel for the young people of today, who are watching every single word they say, in case they get into trouble from each other and from different races and from women etc, for possibly saying whatever us the next (random) ‘wrong’ thing. .But your review helped me not to read this book-and that is a success for your channel. Do not see it as a fail. You saved me money. I live Stephen King’s work. Glad i found your channel. Your responsible no spoilers approach will keep me coming back. Again I urge you-just for yourself-to read George Orwell’s ‘1984’, especially take notice of the‘Thought Police’ in the book. And see how familiar this has become in our 2024. I am 62 years old. Guess what -very recently when i was in my 20s- this constant controlling everything you say, did not exist. It’s only a cult. Which is hard to see , of course, when you are born into it. And by the way, I myself am racist, homophobic, sexist, on any given day. On another day, Im not. Its called being human (PS, -lol, i am often sexist against women,-and i AM one, lol ! ). No wonder ‘anxiety’ is an epidemic amongst the young. If i had to control myself and be false all the time in case i got ‘cancelled’, I’d be breaking down too. (If one young person absorbs my words, realising that having your thoughts and speech controlled, is not human, and gets out if that group-even if it takes ten years to work that out- is am pleased. I spend some of my time trying to help young folks get out of addiction, and the anxiety of having to live putting on a constant act for the world.). You have a follower in me for the King books. Needed this a few years ago, I've read the Castle Rock books horribly out of order! Cujo--> Gwendy's BB--> Needful Things--> The Dead Zone. I remember starting Cujo and thinking 'Am I supposed to know who this Frank Dodd guy is?'

Not a big deal but you didn’t mention how much Castle Rock is mentioned in Under the Dome. Great video though. I like finding these connections throughout his books.
