Spoken like people who have never actually watched these shows. Like, not everyone is going to like the aesthetic. That's fine - it's not for everyone. But thr whole thing about the war between angels and demons in Hazbin is ki d of important to the redemption thing because the whole point isn't just about redeeming sinners, but it's about the way that the system is stacked against them. You know where I've seen that IRL? Fucking prison. Hazbin is a fucking allegory for the judicial system. And Helluva Boss is a sitcom/interpersonal drama that centers a character who's self loathing makes him destroy his own relationships. That shit resonates with people, even if it also has lots of cruse humour thrown in. Again, not everyone will enjoy the style of the show and that's totally fine but done lie about it ffs 😂

I'm target audience for vivziepop stuff yeah her writing is messy plus mostly the story arcs but nice for other people liking the shows more. vivziepop would be better if she made goofy writing trying do drama.

The amount of hate these people are getting for actually saying the truth is wild. Like yeah. There are CONCEPTS that are really good. Like the traumas of being constantly put down by a society that views your existence as something that only ever is there to hold up someone else's. That's GOOD. I LOVE starter concepts like that. Except I always find that instead of building the characters around the lore that's already stated to be non negotiable, Vivziepop shows always seem to do the exact opposite and rewrite the lore around the characters instead. Which CAN be done. But there's a limit to where it's useful vs confusing. It can be useful to use to show that people in high places shouldn't be trusted. Or to show that things have been manipulated to look a certain way. There's been plenty of shows and movies that have done this and rewritten lore by utilizing the idea that you can't trust everything that is given to you as fact. Especially prominent figures that hold a lot of power over people. Except these shows don't do that. Or at least don't do that clearly. These ideas vaguely implied, but it's never explicitly stated or rewritten in a way that sticks or changes anything for the better or worse. And for a show that is supposed to have an overarching plot, that can really harm how your show turns out as a whole. Having the laws of your world continue to change is like having the ground constantly be swept from underneath your audience. Nobody is going to be able to keep up if you don't give them something to hold onto. When things continue to change like this, it's hard to remember what we are supposed to look for and recall as fact vs something that was rewritten 3 episodes ago and we forgot because it changed anyways. I loved Helluva Boss when I was just starting out watching adult cartoons. It was witty and blunt with its humor, the character designs were(and are) adorable, the stylization of the artstyle and the different voice actors is just absolutely gorgeous to me. And they still are! But I feel like the plot gets lost too often for them to truly shine like they did in the beginning episodes.

The Hyperions has rewatch value. The aesthetic was unique and the actors really did well. Just enough shlock for me to actually really like it. I'm not saying that's a popular or even good opinion but it's my opinion either way. Definitely my kind of off-brand media 😅

I’m all for LGBTQ representation, but this came out of nowhere. I liked it when it happened but it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. I never saw Rhaenyra as queer and I don’t think acknowledging that she sometimes wants to be a man in a world like that is not explanation enough. I just don’t think they set it up in a good way
