That's the closest thing I've seen to my old Hamer. I think mine was an 88. It could have been an 87. It hung on the wall of a friend's music store for over a year before I bought it in 89. The only difference I can see is that mine was gold with gold hardware. It was the best guitar I've ever owned. The one that got away. The Hamer Chaparral Custom was the best Super Strat ever.

I had that exact same Ibanez JEM 77FP but the body got smashed and now all I have is everything but the body and I've been searching for the past two decades trying to find one but can't. I'm even trying to find just a raw JEM body so I can build a new one. I found some of the original fabric used on it and I'm confident I can make one that's pretty exact to the original or at least plenty good enough for me. If anyone has any leads on a body I would much appreciate it. And man that guitar is a beauty! I just love those vintage Ibanez so much.
