Rail Fanning Episode 1 Blenheim Subdivision EMD GP 9
Nice start to a layout. I really enjoy listening to your thought process. You're going to love the ITLA laser kit. They go together nice and the wood takes paint very well. I'm looking forward to seeing an update when you get around to it. Thanks for sharing
@@toddarmstrong.trackside.action thanks very much, hoping to get back into action soon
Is it done? What happened?
Hi
I just built a Blair Line kit and it was very enjoyable to build and went together easily. Looked great when done. I will buy more kits from them in future.
Great products to be sure
Great update on your layout! I can't wait to see the next step you take with it. I am a new subscriber to your channel! Cheers Brian
Thanks for following along, as summer comes to a close I am looking forward to creating new content
ah yes my home town
I am local to the area as well
nice but did you hear about the tornado?@@chessiesystemcanadianopera2143
as me living in this town this is really cool
Great to see another Chessie fan and come over to the number 1 scale!!! Haha! Awesome switching layout and love the hight! I got mine at 55" high. Can't wait to watch your updates.
Thanks for following along, great to have you! The height was more necessity than anything else but it’s worked out well
Yea man!!! Looks like your going to have alot of good content. Your family hooked you up!@@chessiesystemcanadianopera2143
Neat switching layout…the aggregate facility should fit right in…won’t be long you’ll sell the N and build a new HO layout 😊
That’s going to bring you hours of great switching fun. Great gifts from your family as well. The more I see CN. The more of it I want to add
Thanks for following along, looking forward to lots of enjoyment
Great update! That is going to be perfect for some switching, not too big, not too small and once the scenery and everything is complete, it’s going to set that corner up nicely with some gorgeous visuals. Can’t wait for more updates! Hope you are well friend, Sean
Thanks Sean great to see you in the comments, I’m excited to see it progress as well
@@chessiesystemcanadianopera2143 thanks for the reply Jason! Having a challenge like the height cap is going to be a fun exercise in planning out all your structures and industry buildings and whatnot. Looking forward to seeing how you tackle it. Had a lot going on the last year or so and hoping to get an update up soon myself. Been a long time coming that’s for sure. Lots to update everyone on as well! Hoping by mid-March 🤞
Looking forward to seeing this project develop great start
Great update. Looking forward to try ops session on my n scale. Great video and looking forward to your layout build. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Thanks 👍
“obviously I have a height limitation” he says, I never thought you would give into a challenge, LoL. Change is in the wind at my end, will keep you informed. Cheers
No it’s gonna be a fun challenge for sure
Looking forward to jumping over from the dark side 😂😂 can’t wait to see your progress on the HO layout great video👍🏻🚂
Thanks friend, it’s a great diversion when I go cross eyed working on the N Scale stuff

Thanks, will do!
Jason, your back 😊…nice catching us up…good stuff…I really need to do the same…farm looking fantastic
Great to see you in the comments friend thanks for the kind words
I’m in the same boat as you right now, new role at work affecting train time. Good to see progress happening!
Big impact for me currently that should result in extra time down the road!
Looking good !
Thanks!
Good to see an update, remember any progress is good progress, why is there a station wagon at your house or are my eyes deceiving me. Cheers
It is, it was a different time Don
@chessiesystemcanadianopera2143 I will think happy thoughts for you
It's great to see ya back on the Tube. Looks good. 🚂🇨🇦🚃🚃🚃🙋
Thanks 👍
Thanks for the update. Looking good, Jason!
Thanks 👍
Layout looks Great! Enjoy the content
Thank you
Thank you for the kind compliment Jason...
Most welcome friend
Love the updates...Those GE's look great. Stay warm and keep modeling
Thank you friend
Less background music.
Looks good nice to see your progress hope to see the large elevator in Blenheim built up as well nice work
A very nice video and layout. I have plans to expand my own HO scale layout, but as I'll be modeling a 1940s-50s steam-era mountain railroad town, I don't believe mine will look quite as modern as yours.
love the still shots at the end with the train at the crossing - really shows of the beauty of the scenery. once you get those locos weathered, that picture will be complete!
Thanks very much friend, your absolutely right I need to get to weathering that power! I appreciate the kind words
Hi CSCO! I accidentally found your channel. There's alot of great info here. I'm a new N scaler building my new-to-me layout featuring CN as my favorite railroad. And I just subbed to your channel! Cheers! -Alex
Welcome and thanks so much for following along I’m glad you enjoy the content.
I stopped buying the model railroader 15 yrs ago when I discovered RMC, a lot less ads and more content. great review
Thanks very much Robin, glad to have you following along
Interesting concept, if you going to do operations on the single module would you not need a runaround on that module as you have a combination of trailing and facing point switches ?
Excellent point to be sure may require another look at the track plan
I’m liking your thoughts behind the track design, the industry above your workbench sounds like a good place for staging. Cheers
Thanks Don I appreciate it my friend! Will you be joining us for the trip to Woodstock?
@@chessiesystemcanadianopera2143 sorry, not this time
French cleats?easier to move
What would your mom think of your behavior is a good guide if you have a conscience
Absolutely agree
Looking great!!
Thanks Dave
Awesome start. I can't wait for updates. Instead of code 55, why not code 70? Post progress on the Second Section. I'm on there all the time, CamasChris.
Will do my friend thank you for following along! I will definitely be diving into the different codes available
Great track plan loads of operational fun looks good to me
Thanks dad! It should be a fun little project
I think you’re going to like switching and operations in HO scale - as for the rail, have you considered code 70? Might be a good compromise - both lighter rail and also reliable.
I had not, I will need to do some research and better understand what is available! Thanks for the input and for following along
Very cool. Looking forward to your construction👷I need a shelf gig but I'll wait till I get the Rapido GP9&slug.
Very excited for those models as well, the test pieces look fantastic
Talk about eye level. That’s awesome. I look forward to seeing your progress.
Thanks friend glad to have you following along
Looks like a great start! Hope to see lots of covered hoppers!

Very exciting, have to be honest I’ve considered doing the same so looking forward to watching your progress
Thanks very much, it should be a lot of fun. Looking forward to working in a different scale and adapting my techniques
