great review nice bike now lets talk the law the federal law says no bikes on the road that have a motor more than 750 watts if more you need a motor cycle license like the 49cc gas scooter law over 49cc you need a motorcycle license I live in Massachusetts and they have begun to check because there are so many bikes on the road my friend got pulled over doing 32 mph with a motor of 1000 watts and BAMM he got a 500 dollar fine and told he needed a motorcycle license if he want to ride that bike so the bike sits inhis shop it goes zero mph now with a range of zero miles his wife put a sign on it that just said stupid my point here is please check your local laws shop smart ride safe and have fun

What’s the minimum height you need to ride it?

Been looking at them, the Wired Freedom's a perfect fit but their Predator's tempting. Lucky me I'm 15 minutes from the factory pick up location. Need a step through, Wired really upped their's. Power for older people? Driving is easier than peddling and we have some very steep hills on our park trails. Going on 63 the bike you have is perfect, it comes with two batteries now for 2k, nice. Watching videos the Predator's front tire's over powered, dropping it down to 750watts should solve the problem, shave a little weight and extend battery life. The Freedom's a great value with nice conservative lines, its a sleeper that doesn't draw attention from the cops. The Predator's front motor might be worth 1300 but the new 1500 extra is pushing it. Back to 3300.00 with a smaller front motor would make it safer and more attractive. What color??? 🙄I like the orange, blue and lime green, they have great choices.

I'm at 285 miles on my Gen 2 bike (like yours). I do a lot of off-road biking in the desert, and my chain skips a lot. Took it to a bike shop to have it tuned up, and they said there's nothing more they can do. It basically needs a higher-end derailleur system to not do that. I still love it. It does awesome things off-road with it's power.

Bought aniioki a8 dual motor, past 500 miles on it, I can ride 3 times on one charge. lol so if it goes down few volts over year it will still take you everywhere going up to 40-45 miles an hour throttle only for hourssssssss. Absolutely love it. If I had a garage like you I’d be even more happy, in NYC I have to take it in elevator but it fits

Is it waterproof?

BUYER BEWARE!! I bought a Blue Freedom and have a problem with the rear shock not holding pressure. Two days later, it collapsed and won't go back up. Now I'm waiting on a call back from a mechanic. I called them around 3:30 pm the day before. I called today @ 10 am and the girl had an attitude saying I need patients. Very rude. Do a search for "wired ebikes customer service". So many complaints about the company and people waiting months for their bikes and not receiving them. Good luck.

Great vids! Love the riding areas you do have. I live in the mountains of NE PA. We got some nice trails but lots of hills. The wired is one of the few bikes that would cut it in my area. Love my freedom!

I'm 69, I started on a Lectric Xpeak. Love it but want to go faster. I ordered a Wired Cruiser, not here yet but i am looking forward to riding faster.

I'm 76 and I like my Wired Freedom 2024 Edition. I go as fast as I want. I think the fastest I have been is 35 mph but normally not much over 20 especially when riding with my wife. The bike is easier on my knees and I don't really like to walk that much. I love all kinds of machinery, it has been my life. Sometimes riding slow is more unsafe than riding slow.

Just a comment on battery life. You mention how you treat Li-Po's in your other applications in comparison to the batteries used in E-bikes. One issue: Most, if not all E Bikes use Li-ion batteries. It's a different animal. Hope this helps.

Late response Dude, However, may I humbly suggest a solution? (Regarding your front loose fender and headlight bolt issue address at 8:45 into the video). If you have not yet tried using a nylock-nut with a split-ring washer, instead of simply a standard nut on the long bolt, this should be helpful. The addition friction-grip from the nylock aided by the pressure from the split-ring washer should do the trick. If for some reason she does not stay as tight as you would like her then the only solution (prior to removal) would be to add a drop of Red LocTite into the mix and the baby will stay snug as a bug in a rug!! I have two conversion e-bikes and I ride them more than I drive my two cars my cars are classic cars and I don't really want to drive them that much after for a ride and even before converting my two bicycles I rode my bike more than driving my car now I look at my bikes now as more of a mode of transportation the fun honeymoon is over even though it is still fun to ride the bikes but mainly is now riding it to get from point A to point B just a little faster I even accomplish the goal I wanted to do last year which was right to ride to Two Towns which I got to do one of my bikes is at 1,100 me the other one is at 115 I will be converting a third bike and it will be a 3 or 5,000 watt system next year

Great to see another senior adrenalin-junky riding a fast ebike! I’m 78, on my third bike, a 52v dual-battery model with 27.5 x 3” tires. It’s a bit too heavy for me but it has lotsa torque and long range and goes from zero to 27+ mph in about 6 seconds. I realized early-on that I rarely want to go 30 mph but I love rapid acceleration. Two things any oldster should consider when buying a fast fat tire ebike: (1) are you fit enough to muscle a 70 lb. bike, and (2) can you accept the risk involved riding at speed, because falling at 25+ mph is a lot more serious than crashing at 10 mph. After my 80 y.o. riding pal broke his collar bone falling at 20 mph, we both wear mountain bike armor, ‘cause if you break a hip at age 80, you are most likely done-for. For me, the fun outweighs the risk.
