    very nice, great craftsman. did it go Turbo? if not the chamber reshape would of dropped the compression , bit of power loss if its staying N/A?

    I have a question, is the MK 5 Golf 1.6 8 valve engine with 102 hp the same block as the older mk 2 and mk3 GTI's ? Do GTI parts fit on this engine ? Which independent throttle bodies will fit this engine?

      Its golf1 GTI 1.6 engine,very different engine.golf 4 1.6 Sr have o2 sendor,crossflow head,injectors,doent carbs.

    big mistake to cut exhaust valve guides, they are the only thing with valve seats that ccool exhaust valves

    very cool, here in Brazil these engines are used a lot in drag racing, I have a 2 liter with multipoint injection 4 injectors that I'm going to put in my Gol 1985 (a car with similarities to the 1st generation golf)... a strange fact in the part where you show the face of the head, it doesn't have the pit where the combustion chamber forms? in the headstock of our ea827 they have the armhole and the valve is inside...

      Hi. Another combustion chamber, 3grad valve seat cutting, 2grad valves refaced, biggest valve ports for best cfm, bronze valve guides... Little bit more Than rebuild.

    Never polish intake ports. This will slow air speed and make it harder for the fuel to vape. Should have been dimpled or cut so it has lateral lines

      Not. Last job with p600 grid. We made very lot of air flow test, its a good ports profil(golf ist best with cnc)

      In general the last pass on the inlet should be 80 grit to rough up the port in a swirl pattern towards valves

      тут больше толку нет от таких огромных каналов, разве что этот мотор будет 2.5л обьемом и жить в 10к оборотах... А вот мертвая зона нужна! да, она безполезна без уха, но и ухо надо делать грамотно, а не так, как делают все в ютюбе. Тогда мертвая зона направляет поток к уху, улучшается скорость свирла и крутящий момент, но опять же, это уже испорченная головка...

    Hello. Asking for a 1.8 EA827 with 2E2 in an Audi 100? I have this rattling for a few minutes when it's cold. Also, when I let off the gas there's like a push pull jerking motion going on from the engine. I invested some money and changed hydro lifters, and everything around them and had the valves and valve seats polished. But all these problems are still there. Any advice? Rest of the car is great, just the zylinderkopf that's troublesome.

    It's a H block very rare. I have my gti 1.6 eg since 2014. I only know from this week that I have such a block. They say it's better to tune. How much power you get out this block?

      Look the shapes of opel c24ne and American v8 combustion chambers and you will find that you are totally wrong. The most critical area of the port is the area near the valve seat. Your chamber designed by Lada engineers for economy not for power. You have to reshape it if you want to have good flow numbers= big power

      hello.cfm +7%.Inlet +3mm,exhaust +1mm.We not have results just the head,because we change more than 1 parts in engine buildings(schrick cams,higher cr pistons,adjustment pulley)
