@@BoJanglesGaming most of it is the Mountain Shadow set you can craft at your Blacksmith. But I'm using the Hollows Eve skins for the head and chest. You get them from a quest in the late-game by the lady Alchemist Assistant, I think.

@ I didn’t have the obsidian block the first time I tried this, so just gonna add some info If you do this without the obsidian block unlocked you just get obsidian. Managed an entire huge chest full of obsidian on my first run which was inefficient altar placement and I could’ve got way more. Might be a good idea if you plan on using obsidian arrows or something to not unlock obsidian blocks right away. Obsidian powder will probably have a use too at some point. You’ll never have to mine obsidian again You can also place your first altar before the mud room with the rats and none of the enemies will respawn. As long as the range of the first altar doesn’t cover the crypt, you can get as close as you want. This will save quite a bit of time and cuts out running to the crypt and fighting the enemies.

@Souls.hunting not with my testing. It would occasionally do higher damage when it hit crits, but overall the cutting damage was more. Unless they have made the Dragon weaker to blunt damage, cutting was the way to go. Not to mention, in the rest of game, far more enemies are susceptible to cutting than blunt. Skeletons are one of the only ones I found to be very weak to hammers and such.

@Souls.hunting I've been testing all day, and you actually are correct. With a slightly different skill point allotment, the Frost Smasher does the most damage to the Dragon. However, it doesn't do as much against most other enemies compared to the Champion's Axe. So for taking down the Dragon, the damage is more. But for the rest of the game, Champion's Axe is.......wait for it.......still the champion. 😉

@@BeforeFriday very true. That's why, near the end of my vid, I show the skill tree for farming and grinding resources. Adding points in the Beastmaster tree is situational, but still a good idea.

Yes, you can, but that's too much of a cheat for me. Finding a game mechanic myself and cheesing it a bit it is one thing. Going to a server like that just to snag unlimited materials is another. I know some people like to do that, which is fine, but not I. At least this mechanic still needs YOU to put in the work. Which makes my build that much more worthy to me. I can look at it when I'm done and know I was the one that put in all the work for it. It's simply a pride thing for me.

No, that was exactly my point in the video. If you look, I have the Granite Roof block unlocked. I've crafted plenty of it for my previous base. Picking it up, the last time I tried anyway (they may have fixed it in an update), it didn't give me the material blocks. It just gave me regular Granite WALL blocks, not the ROOF blocks.

I've tried out just about every weapon in the game, but there are SO many different combos with damage types and skill point builds, it's impossible to try them all. It's always possible there is a stronger build, especially if/when the devs change anything for future updates or DLC. I have tried that same Frost Smasher 2-handed hammer. It does some good damage, for sure, but I found in my testing that if it doesn't get crits, which is entirely RNG, the base damage is less than the Champion's Axe with cutting skill point buffs. On average, I almost ALWAYS took down the Dragon quicker with the axe. I also tried the Deeproot Axe (I think is the name), which has 40% more crit damage! But, sadly, again, that's only better IF you're hitting crits. That might be the axe I use to try and take the Dragon down in under 1 minute, but it has to be a very lucky run. Since I also wouldn't need the health regen from the Champion's Axe, because I would hope I don't take a single lick of damage. Also why I don't bother with a single-handed weapon for healing, when I'm spec'd for 2-handed. If going for damage, you don't want to waste points on single-handed melee stuff for a dual-handed build. There are definitely enemies resistant to blunt, but only matters with the big bosses. I use the hammer and blunt damage weapons when I do the Hollow Halls, since blunt seems to utterly ruin skeletons. And you are welcome! I also truly appreciate the feedback and engagement. I try to respond when I can to most comments, but that all depends on my spare time. I'm hoping I don't fall off TOO much if/when I get more subs, but only time will tell. By then, though, I would probably set up a Discord or something. Thanx again! 🥰

Interesting point, that the Champions Axe does more base damage, I wouldn't have expected so. Guess I'll have to do more testing to different weapons, and not only rely on the skills shown and my interpretation :D

@@Jan.Bouldering yeah, if I get enough people commenting there's just no way to respond to everyone. But, if anything, the more followers I have, maybe someday I can do this full time. So it's certainly a trade-off. And, yeah, I learned early with Enshrouded, especially being still early access, you just have to test things out and compare and contrast. But that's the fun part!

@@Jan.Bouldering wanted to let you know, that with a slight change to my skill points, you actually ARE correct that the Frost Smasher does the most dmg to the Dragon. But doesn't hold true for most other enemies. Cutting still seems to be the best overall, so the Champion's Axe is still, IMHO, the best weapon for the current game.

​@@Jan.Bouldering At the time of recording I didn't have them all, but I do now. I was missing the Roughly Cut Stone and regular Hollow Halls blocks. I got those as well as the missing 7 skill points.

And I'll probably do some build videos as well, since I still have a ton left to do on my fortress. And to rotate any furniture you just need to turn off snapping and hold SHIFT while rotating. The objects turn, I think, 15 degrees each turn. The doors are created by the Carpenter. It's the Huge Crypt Doors. Unlocked by the Blackmire hidden recipes quest. @@bassheavyDM although I do appreciate your initial compliment, I can't agree with the rest. As someone who used to work as a game tester, I can assure you the devs 100% KNEW this was a thing. And, yes, perhaps they will remove it in the future (a stupid decision, IMHO), but it doesn't automatically mean people will lose interest. Look at Minecraft, for example. Still going strong, even though many early access mechanics were eventually changed/removed. Every game has certain cheesing mechanics, but they don't always remove them. If enough people use them and it's a key component for the game, they won't remove them. So, again, I truly appreciate the feedback, but I think stuff like this and more people knowing about it is a GOOD thing.

@@bigkidBAM Thanks for the reply. I wasn't saying that they didn't know it was there (which is why I stated "in the final version"). That would be kind of silly. They're devs afterall. But I can concede that I'm wrong if you were a game tester. I can't tell you were wrong because I never worked in that industry. It's just that after 35 years of gaming, I've seen a lot of people who, like me, have a gaming attention span of a gnat (LOL) and it seems everyone jumps from game to game anyway. It doesn't seem that this would help. But I would also concede that my opinion or how I play is not how everyone should. Best wishes to you and your channel. Love your content thus far. :)

@bassheavyDM I definitely meant no offense. I worked in the industry for a few years a long time ago, so I'm in no way any expert. But I think a game like this that is so overly focused on building would be wise to keep the grind somewhat more efficient. Yes the grind isn't supposed to be too easy, but I think the more people that use methods like this will help convince devs to not remove it. Thank you for the feedback and the comments! @@Jan.Bouldering I can see the appeal, but spec'ng in to Ranger for bonus to flying only really helps with the Dragon. Doesn't do a thing to 95% of the other enemies in the game as a melee main. All that additional damage ONLY applies to ranged and flying. At least for my playstyle, adding another food slot to get a ton of additional buffs from whatever food you choose is more useful throughout the game. Stamina isn't necessary when the damage is so high you don't need to swing/run/jump/glide much to take down everything. Again, this is simply my opinion on the best specs for a pure melee build. And, again, except for the Dragon boss, it is absolutely the highest DPS in the game for all foes. Obviously, to each their own, so if you enjoy that playstyle and it works, more power to ya! But I've utterly decimated even the Hollow Halls on the hardest difficulty with this build and never once was even close to dying. But I truly do appreciate the alternate take and ideas for others! Any feedback, even disagreeing with me, is fantastic!

@@bigkidBAM I did not at all skill this way for the dragon. It's my personally favored allrounder-skilling. With this I do easily enoug damage to any opponent I can reach in close combat. And I found a really decent solution for me, to deal with the few opponent types that really trouble me while leveling warrior on harder difficulties, and that are the flying witches in the shroud. I notice that every warrior skilling video I watched on YT favors the (almost) exact same skilling, be it you, or glitchiz, or Kontreck. But for my personal experience I can't share this completely. I really, really would appreciate to see a video of someone with your skill tree dealing with a bunch of shroud witches on higher difficulties. Really pure curiosity how you do this, as those are my biggest struggle without enhanced range dps. Without ranger points I often thought "damn, wish I had these points", think it killed me quite a few times. But I can't remember a single death where i thought "that additional food slot would have saved me". Personal experience and gameplay I think. But still I'd like to see how you deal with a bunch of shroud witches same lvl as you on a littel higher difficulty than default. I probably could learn something from that!

@Jan.Bouldering again, I can respect that playstyle and opinion. The Shroud "witches" (do you mean the ones with the spinning sickle scythes?) were a bit touchy, I'll admit, but that's also why I like the 4th food slot. You can eat different foods for different scenarios and enemies, and having 1 more is HUGE, IMO. The health regen alone is useful in case you need to run an hide a little to heal up. I am debating a brand new playthrough on hard (I only turned things up after all the quests to test stuff and see how I do). Which, OF COURSE, I'll be posting. Again, good feedback and I love how many different options Enshrouded gives players! That's what makes it awesome. Remember, just like my 2-min takedown of the Dragon, even pure melee can use stun arrows to drop those Fell Scythe buggers.

HAHAHA, right?!? They don't do a ton of damage, but the hook doesn't even grab them half the time! A type of giant brood mother boss of one of those that shoots out a dozen flying babies all the time through the fight would actually be a serious challenge for every build except an AoE Mage.

@@siobovitch I've actually tested both and I get WAAAAAAY more using the disassemble method I show here. I can easily get 15-20k in around 5 minutes on average. Quitting out and in for the chest only gives an average of 500 each time. 40 times loading out and in to compare. It might be "easier", but the only blocks I use the drops for are the Polished and Well, because there are almost zero buildings using those blocks that aren't in the Shroud. But if you prefer the chest, by all means! But the sheer amount from that crypt is crazy. The devs keep threatening to remove that feature, but until they do I'll keep using it.

@@bigkidBAM 15-20k in 5min is indeed way more efficient. I just stack 5k with 10 q/o, and go back building; so chest is a no brainer for me. Once I start posting some regular playthrough, it'll be TONS of shenanigans! The terrain thing, I think, used to work, but Keen removed the ability. I'm with you, as I hope they bring that back. For a game so focused on building and crafting insane bases, the easier to grind materials the better!

That's a piece of it, yes, and can save you a lot of time with grinding for your base builds.

​@@ChrisClifton-l4b that next spot at the pumpkin farm has a BUNCH of granite blocks for the basement. Most of the buildings in the Albaneve Summits have granite foundations.

Regarding the obsidian blocks, couldn’t you just move the flame alter you use for teleportation where the spiders are? If you place it so it covers just right over where the rats are. Wouldn’t this limit the time used on killing the mobs? 22:52 BTW solid video. Sending my thanks from Norway 🤙

@Stickman1109 you absolutely can! My alter was placed for another quest before I even knew that crypt was there. If you can find the right place for it, you could possibly block all the enemies EXCEPT the big main spider. That one spawns right in that room, and you don't want to prevent the block from coming back (if you need more than 15k or so of it). So yes, you are correct. If you can find the right spot that allows a flame alter, you can get right up next to it.

@@GES1985 yeah, I do use double Ancients rings if I'm going for time and no-hit. But when I'm just farming it I like to have a health leech ring to help survivability. But yes, you are correct that a RoA would give me another 5% dmg!

@bigkidBAM my main build was pretty well rounded, but the DPS wasnt anything to write home about because i was trying to be tank dps and healer all at once.. Sword of Radiance for critical Heals plus Aura of water for passive regen, and maxed wizard (electric) for my ranged to chain lighting stun bars. But after I got the 149th skill point I wanted to see just how much damage I can push. And the numbers in your video were impressive AF.

​@@MM-lu2zk I think maybe you're talking about the Barbarian tree skill called "BLOOD RAGE". When you kill an enemy with a melee weapon you get a 20% damage buff for 10 seconds.
