hello again, i've lately been trying to get all my lessons and stuff in order for going back to work and i feel like i have been accomplishing stuff whcih maeks me very happy. are you doing okay at the moment in life? i really hope you are because life can be really really really really really tricky sometimes this year....for a lot of people.... taking some time with things and learning to relax has helped me a lot to focus i think. i find making these score video thingies relaxing whihc is why i do them :)
also since i uplaoded lulu i didnt really know which opera to do next but i have some better ideas on what to do! some people are doing a lot of wagner and strauss so maybe i can do puccini :]
in the meantime i wanted to upload some augusta holmès because ive been meaning to get this up for quite a while as it is a really fun and special piece for me. it might not be anything particularlt good to a lot of people but i like her music a lot and she has a rly cool life you can read about! she is so cool and she wrote some really politicaly driven music...like this is one of them! her family was irish btw and theres a lot of awful stuff historically of the british empire invading, occupying ireland, causing famine and so on... (actually part of my family ended up leaving ireland because of the famine as well) and i like to think of this music as inspiring the idea of or longing for a happy united and independent ireland at the time it was composed
fun fact: saint-saëns even described her as an 'extremist' which i think is pretty funny!
