hi sorry i've been away i've been trying to finish off this score video and it's the biggest one i done so far and took a while sorry about that. also i am sorry that there is a page that was missing somewhere in act 3 i think, and also the spoken bits don't always align nicely with the music so i am sorry about that as well. overall this is probably just another piss quality video which you can count as i guess a 502 subscriber special or something, wow i can't believe that a bunch of people subscribed over the past few days when i was reuploading stuff thank you to the new people!!.
since making this video there has been a spike in coronavirus cases and deaths in my city and mask wearing has become mandatory and i don't wanna leave the house any more. i made a big yellow curry yesterday to last for however long it lasts idk yet but i look forward to eating it because that stuff usually makes me feel better. i hope youse are all feeling okay and are not sick please please please stay safe adn wear mask and not catch virus because people are dying and i dont want you to die and i dont want to die so please besafe.
oh p.s. i was just told of a neat trick that apparently you can divide these videos up or something by putting time code in the description and not pinned message? so i will do that so here you go:
prologue 0:00
Act 1 4:30
Act 2 1:01:34
Act 3 1:55:25
this seems to be one of my most popular videos recently :o
thank you everyone for coming along, it's a delightful surprise to see people here enjoying these videos and sharing them. i literally just make them for myself because it helps me to focus and calm and learn a little more about the music i like so much. seeing more and more engagement is a huge surprise for me and it makes me happy to be alive and i love you all
I would love to see Poulenc's "La Voice Humaine", fortunately it's not very long
@Mirko Sattig oooh ok thank you for letting me know! i won't do rosenkavalier in that case :)))
@Mirko Sattig just saw your video on vimeo and it's awesome!!!!!
Beethoven Fidelio and Mozart Die Zauberflöte. Those are two of my favorites. Can you try to do them in as many languages as you can find? So far I have found Fidelio in the original German, English, French, Italian, Czech, and Russian. And I have found Die Zauberflöte in the original German, Italian, French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Hope to find it in Russian and Czech. I hope to find Fidelio in Spanish.
Thank you so much for making this, this is so beautiful!!
I like Berg the most of the serialists. He found a way to dramatically contextualize the form making it palatable to the ear .
16:21 - 16:49 literally sounds like tonal music. Berg was a genius.
I don't expect you to still be reading comments on this now-3 year old video, but if you are, let me extend a heartfelt thanks to you for posting this wonderful videoscore of this masterpiece.
for the people who are interested, this is the version with Stratas starring as Lulu, Riegel as Alwa and Mazura as Doktor Schön, Boulez conducting the Paris Opera Orchestra, in the world premiere of the entire work completed by Cerha.
Thank you
Gotcha

It's great to be able to follow the score all the way through. Too bad, however, one doesn't know one thing about who's singing, conducting, playing.

19:10 to 20:32 can somebody please translate this?
Not sure of an exact translation, but here is a summary (based on what i remember):
The painter says to Lulu that the post is here. His post says that one of his paintings sold for 50,000 marks, making it the third painting he has sold since him and Lulu got married. Lulu opens her letter and it's a wedding invitation for the wedding of a Count's daughter to Dr Schon, which presumably makes her jealous. The painter says they should send their congratulations, and Lulu says 'why should we', and the painter goes off to work.

This is one of the worst pieces of music I’ve heard, I don’t know why we’re forced to listen to this for Alevel. You’ve done a really good job with the score video but my god I hate the Bergs.
Very boring music... I need more BTS and BLACK PINK.
