What was the failure point of the original engine?
@@zackarybenoit5467 overspun due to money shift 😅 #drivermod upgraded since then
I got a question I am putting a 6.0 motor into my 5 Gen Camaro . And I wanted to know What type of problems did you run into along the way.
@tlee1906_2 I didn't run into any issues because my original 6.2 engine is a gen 4 LS motor so I was able to take a 6.0 gen 4 LS (LY6) and upgrade the cam, lifters and timing chain/cover, swapped the heads and drop it right in. The only thing I had to do outside of that was drill and tap a hole for the alternator bracket bolt 🔩 on driverside of engine.
Thank you for the video! If you can’t get to the back 8mm bolt on the Air Box pull up the Fuse Box Housing and go underneath it with small 8mm wrench… A lot easier! Fought with that one! 😅
@7eVeNBolt I'll try that next time. Thanks for tip 🫱🏾🫲🏼
Is there another way erase yhe code, like if disconnected the battery?
@@Angum0055 you can disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 5 mins. You may have to do it more than once for the computer to reset the code.
@@silverbullet_2ssthank you saving me a ton I'm from California and they were charging me 175 just to look at at and they said I might have more stuff bad. But I had already taken it to the smog check and they told me it was this code. Much appreciated.
@@silverbullet_2ssdo you have any advice for the stereo mine just keeps going off an on I have no clue what's wrong with it?
@Angum0055 I've read that a replacing radio or upgrading to aftermarket has resolved issue when reprogramming by dealership(stealership) does not fix it. It could be a bad electrical connector/pin under passenger side dash by blower motor.
@@silverbullet_2ss alright thanks, change the part engine light gone now 😁 awesome video.

@SilverBullet's Garage, Good to you. Just found your channel. Hoping you can help. I am in the beginning stage of a LQ4 (02) swap in a 2011 Camaro V6. Looking for help with the PCM. Gen 3 wiring harness to Gen 5 ? How did you do yours?. Thanks
@bisaiah9797 I wish I could help you with that info, but my swap was a simple V8 to V8 block swap from ls3 to Gen 4 Ly6 6.0. Stock computer, stock harness, intake, etc. Just needed a tune for new block configurations. What you are looking to do is far more complex than what I did. There are some guys out there who have done the infamous to V8 swap. Wish you well with your build.
@@silverbullet_2ss ..Ok, many thanks. Your car is beautiful. Peace Brov.

Si recuerdo correctamente, a las 2:13 ese era un clip para el tubo de llenado de la transmisión.
can i keep the housing and just replace the seal ?
@dmc_ghost1732 Yes, you can, but I would only do it in certain circumstances like time sensative, or if I'm short on cash, etc. The housing is plastic, and depending on the mileage of the car, the plastic components become weak over time due to heat cycles. It could burst. Be sure to replace both thermostats and thermostat gaskets if the car has overheated any in the past.
@@silverbullet_2ss it does overheat but just because the coolant is leaking from the housing so it’s not taking it out the reservoir because the pressure so is just replacing the housing fine ?
Because after I put the coolant through the hose cap it’s fine again
@dmc_ghost1732 replacing the housing is replacing the thermostat and O-ring gasket because it comes with the housing. $35-$75 for complete housing (even aluminum housing) on Amazon. Can't beat doing job right the first time and taking guess work out on if thermostats are shot or not due to overheating.
@@silverbullet_2ss one last question I did everything and replaced it but the whole housing where it connects to the en fin is leaking very fast
