I don't mean to be rude but you have top of the line hardware making performance comparison videos, you should know all the information in this area mate. Anyways there was a discovery by AMD that windows caused a performance loss in all zen based CPUs especially the new zen 5 CPUs so they fixed it in 24H2 and then made a update/patch available to 23H2 users as well. I asked about this because before when 23H2 (with the patch) and 24H2 were compared, there was no performance difference. In your video 24H2 is performing better that's why I asked if 23H2 has the patch or not.

No, all you see is nvidia control panel and windows settings tweaks... but no OC. (i dont OC my pcs) Performance is better when im not recording or using benchmark graph.

CS2 will depend a lot on your CPU. if you already own a 7800x3d or a 9800x3d, changing your GPU can help but you dont really need a 4090 to achieve high fps. depend how much you gonna pay for a 4090 because cards like 4070 Super Ti or 4080 can do the job only losing to the 4090 on very extreme scenarios with smokes/mollys/nades but buying this cards now is a risk because the new 50 series cards are here. If your deal for the 4090 is around 1k... go for it, other wise wait for the new 50 series to see how good they are on CS2.

The margin of advantage that Windows 10 had over Windows 11 23H2 was already minimal. Now with 24H2 version having better performance, it could be the same or even better.

if you set to None while the game is running it will not remove/change your fps cap. but remember that if you restart the game for some reason... you have to do it again. (set to High before open the game and then to None while the game is running)

its your CPU not GPU. The 14900k its a great cpu but is well know the X3D CPUs have better performancein gaming. There benchmarks with your CPU running with only half of the cores and having better performance in gaming. you can give it a try a see how "true" is it.

yes, msi aferburner/rivatuner, OBS is eating +/- 10% performance and is more noticeable on the 1% lows.

so i just tested and not dropping from 600 with 2/3/4 or 5 smokes

i dont OC my pc. about your video "i hit 840 avg and 290 1% lows in benchmark map same settings" we are not running same settings, you are running the game on "all" low settings and im not (im running comp settings)... so here we already have a big difference.

@FocusGamlng​​⁠ actually. Running same settings as you but higher resolution and get better results from the overclock. At mirage deathmatch i end up with 250-270 1% low. The video was made with all low to ensure no bottleneck. But found that even with comp settings with 4x msaa and 1440x1080 stretched i Never hit 100% usage. So theres no bottleneck and consistently hitting 820-850 avg with 280-310 1% lows in the benchmark map. When I aint recording, So Can really recommend atleast adjust ram for the fastest speeds 👍 Edit tryed exactly your settings. With recording your right. Only 780fps avg I get. But 275 1% lows when recording though.

@@nordskov55 1440x1080 and 1280x960 performance is almost the same with few frames difference between them and you can see it on this video ua-cam.com/video/Cn6Ix5rIIkI/v-deo.html i do myself play 1440x1080 as main resolution and when i change to 1280x960 the only major difference is the visuals like models and map edges. about ram, is not recommended with a 7800x3d running ram speed above 6000mhz (and is not me saying it... you can search and see by yourself) so, run the game with same settings and let me know when you have a video about it... can be 1440x1080 or 1280x960 as you wish (i already have both tests).

And this is my 1280x960 test with same settings and as you can see have less 1% low and is not because the system but insteded is because the resolution and nothing to do with the system. Maybe its possible but without a good cpu you will not achieve this fps because what you see its on cpu bound.

​@@nicoasmr2103 because with unlocked fps my Min fps almost never goes down under 450 fps. in other words, i cap it 40/50 fps bellow my Min fps. as you can see on the graph, the fps are very stable this way. (Max/Mix/Avg/1% low)

your comment made me think you have no idea how CS2 runs/works. Saying im doing tweaks (without mention on the video) just to prove a point... all my benchmarks are done without any OC and the settings i was using in the past are the same to the ones i use at the current day nothing you said will improve your fps at the point to make a DM with bots to have same performance. Rivatuner will only improve your 1% lows if you cap it to 300/400 fps... Im still waiting for the link or video name (real gameplay not some graphics) where you said the 9800x3d is way better in CS2. 9800x3d around 4/5% better in CS2 at the cost of overheat and around + 30/40% power consumption i dont think is "way better" if a cpu have better performance in other games like Baldur's Gate 3 it dosent mean that cpu will have the same performance in a comp game like CS2 or any other game. i did prove my point, you should do the same.

@ Hi Sir , as u said 9800x3d is only 4-5% better . I am goin to put link here and you can check 1% lows in Death match is still above 240 ( between 240-300 ) . I am pretty sure in 5 vs 5 real gameplay it will be more than 5% . Matter of fact 7800x3d in dm as per your last video was below 200ish . So there is no point to argue with you or neither i want to proove you wrong . But yeah saying its only 5% better you should look into 1% lows . im not sure how "true" is that video and i will explain why. on train full cpu bound and he dont even get max frames to 500 fps on low settings. 1% lows is not 240 vs bots like you said and the 1% lows are super instable make me think that is the 99% fps from the software he uses. the cpu temp is very low to be true and he have OC at 5.3ghz what makes it even more "no reliable" the temps. every time the 1% low goes under 160 he resets the benchmark. on dust 2 more of the same but this time not vs bots so the 1%lows are higer. around only avg 500 fps on full cpu bound. he resets the benchmark when it goes down to 200 1% lows and super instable the cpu temp is very low to be true and he have OC at 5.3ghz what makes it even more "no reliable" the temps. (unless NASA shared a cpu cooler with him) normally with good or bad 1% low, that graph display dont have that spike going from 200 to 150 1% lows every second like your current fps do, it should go up and down but slow in a long run, unless i reset the benchmark. (talking in long run and not on the first 30 sec i start the benchmark ofc) now if i was thiking this video you linked is 100% trustable. on train vs bots he have very low fps on full cpu bound with OC at 5.3ghz... i do better 1% lows super spiky... i do the same or better on dust 2 , again very low fps on full cpu bound with OC at 5.3ghz... i do better 1% lows super spiky going from 300 to 200 like nothing... i do the same or better. all this on low settings and 5.3ghz OC. PS: when your full cpu bound like this ones, having a 4070 ti or a 4090 dosent matter. i know you dont understant how to full "read" my benchmark or the linked video because if you do... well, everyone can believe what they want but dosent mean what we believe is true.

why? you know the 9800x3d is around 4/5% faster than the 7800x3d on CS2, right!? So, my avg here is 622 fps if i add + 5% from the 9800x3d i will get avg 653 fps and lets add to the 9800x3d overheat and around + 30%40% power consumption... this is what you get if you have a 7800x3d and change to 9800x3d! btw, 5v5 comp match you can use a 500hz monitor and cap your fps at 360/410 fps. (5v5 match vs DM is very different performance) unless you know something that i dont know... if someone already owns a 7800x3d, i see no reason to change CPU atm.

@ Sir look at 1% lows which are 160-170 and 9800x3d 5 vs 5 competitive is above 240 . So if i have 240hz screen i will go for 9800x3d for better 1% lows .

because im playing DM vs bots what is very different than 5v5 comp. show me a video with 9800x3d vs the 7800x3d (real gameplay) where the 9800x3d is all that better.

true, when im not recording the avg/1% low/latency is a bit better, especially the ms/latency.

best way to config your OBS is like watching a guide for record on quality and performance. this way you will be able to change and understand a little more. (sorry im not the right person to guide you about OBS) About losing fps while recording is "normal" or will happen just not sure if 90 fps is to much. i do lose some fps to while recording and using msi afterburner/rivatuner.

i did not change anything on BIOS... im just running w11 energy power plan on max performance with IGPU disabled.

i was using Nvidia Shadowplay but i changed to OBS few weeks ago

to basic edit you can just go with a free. for the black bars, you have to start the recording with the shadowplay on desktop scene. (alt tab cs2, start the record and go back to the game)

default. Since "The Armory" update 02/10/2024, the game lost a lot of performance and the 1% lows got a big hit losing around 40% on performance.
