Pillars and Fillers
United States
Приєднався 12 жов 2022
We are Dave and Kelsey from the United States. We saved up money, airline miles, and credit card points for 3 years to be able to travel the world. Now is the time!!! We started in October 2022 and are doing a bit of budget backpacking style of travel so the money will last through 2023! Where are we going? EVERYWHERE! Central America, Europe, Africa, and Asia are on the list for the first 8 months. Maybe South America for the end of 2023. Our travel is driven by a list of "pillars", the main things in the world that we'd like to do and see. In between, we do want to enjoy this year off from work and really get to know some places around the world by traveling slowly. Those are the "fillers". On our channel we'll turn on the camera when we do something interesting, so Subscribe to follow along on our trip! (Also, the UA-cam videos do lag behind a little. To keep up in real-time and to better communicate, find us on Instagram! Pillars and Fillers.)

Hiking and SLEEPING on a volcano! (Volcan Fuego and Acatenango in Antigua, Guatemala)
Переглядів 2,5 тис.Рік тому
It wasn't easy, but we did it! We hiked to the top of volcan Acatenango and watched Volcan Fuego erupt over and over again! Seeing a volcano erupt was one of our major "Pillars" to accomplish during a year of full-time travel. This hike to see Volcan Fuego for the last few years has been one of the most reliable (and fairly safe) ways to go see a volcano in action! This video covers our journey...

We hit most of the highlights: we rode the swing, took photos on the famous "hand", and explored every corner of the place taking photos and videos as we went. We also got two of the signature ...

First Day of Full-Time Travel! Dallas to Mexico City
Adore London ❤️ 1 of the safest city's on the planet
Nice vid , you clearly came in July judging by the weather 😊
Well, the best part of visiting Britain is NOT to stay in London which is worth a day or two for sure but there is just so much more and better things to experience in the UK.
Would be so helpful if you could list or link attractions and restaurants.
This is leeching IQ points…..
Snow on the ground? Wow that’s rare in London! When was this?
Best Taco Bell I've seen.
We r traveling in March to Mex City. We will definitely use your suggestions. Ty
Glad it was helpful! Have fun!
Took me a while to work out who or what Ahba might be until you mentioned going to ABBA Voyage. Then I remembered the peculiar way that Americans pronounce ABBA! 😂
That person who told you the subway is not safe is one of those mexicans who think that public transportation is for the poor and a horrible place that doesn’t meet their standards, but when they go to NYC or London they ride the subway and take pictures for their IG to show off lol. Snob dude who lied to you, made you spend more money on unnecessary Uber rides and kept you from experiencing an iconic part of the city as many subway stations have art expos inside, murals, concerts, and even pre Hispanic ruins. The subway is incredibly safe and clean, and there are police officers everywhere, there’s even a section for women and children only. You won’t find homeless people with mental health issues living inside or drug addicts like you do in NYC. I’ve lived in Mexico City for 31 years so I know what I’m talking about. Ride it and you’ll see.
Love the owner of E Pellici, always so much energy when he pops up in videos on UA-cam.
The best!
how much is a decent price? i dont want to get ripped off
❤❤❤❤❤
Que lindo que se la pasaron bien en nuestra bella guate 🙏🙏❤️
Hi guys, I just found your video and I am thinking about visiting Puerto Escondido to check it out for retirement purposes in January right now it’s December 1, 2023 here in Sonoma California I appreciate your video and good information one question do you tip the taxi drivers or just pay them the pesos that they ask for
Really enjoyed your vlog and had to become a subscriber! You really went to a few unique places that most vloggers haven't covered, so I added a few spots to my map! Thanks so much for sharing your travels.
Why are nealy all You Tube hosts so garrulous? I want to see what they see, not hear about their relations and friends. I have relations and friends of my own, thank you.
Everyone goes for a Full Brekkie there! He’s amazing. I must go x
A- ba (Abba) A as in Cap (no r as in car) . Great video
I'm researching our trip to Mexico City at Christmas and I found this useful. I've wanted to go to Teotihuacan for years!
I’m heading there this year. Where do you recommend watching the parade from? Is there a hotel or rooftop you’d recommend I pre-book for a good view? Thanks so much.
I was also wondering the same thing… And I wasn’t aware that there was a day parade, and a night parade.
❤️❤️❤️👍👍
why do you think no prime minister goes to the tower of London
😮
This is all nice but I am not going to Guatemala to have spaghetti... Mexican and Danish food. That's great for the locals because maybe they want to have something different. I know I enjoyed going to different places to eat on dates etc but then again Id lived there for 10 years already... but if you going to Guatemala as a tourist for the first time..please dont go to taco bell or have Mexican ...eat Guatemalan food peeps :) I truly thought this was about Guatemalan restuarants in Antigua.. not Mexican food, etc.
In Antigua you can try La Cuevita de los Urquizu.
Done the DFW to LHR flight dozens of times. Not a bad flight. British Airways is a lot worse than American
Do u now hate acatenango volcanoe? Do u still think about that experience? No nightmares?

Wow very nice ❤❤❤
Barcelona is the most dangerous city in Spain, very expensive and dirty, i preffer much more Valencia, or Zaragoza
Not even in the top ten.
one increibly beautiful city, the gem of the mediterranian sea
Wow ❤❤❤
Prosciutto?😅🤭😏turistas.
What a pity. It's much better inside the Sagrada Familia that outside. Sometimes it's worthy to visit the places despite the price.
There is another tower gate in Valencia called torres de quart. As big as serranos tower is.
Christmas in Germany is the best, and this comes from a Brit.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍😍😍😍😍Thank you so much for sharing these beauties!
Mr. Wand, How are you going to wear a RHCP hat to the shire?
I find you lack of faith disturbing

I watch LOTS of travel vlogs and yours was AMAZING. I really enjoyed it! Thank you very much. Love from Ushuaia, Argentina!!

@@pillarsandfillers You have? Many people stop by on their way to Antarctica maybe one day you'll be vlogging from here! 🤗
It was the Queen Elizabeth Tower you passed on your Uber boat. Big Ben is actually a bell within the tower.
Thank you! I'm glad to know that now
