Adventure with Bernie
Australia
Приєднався 3 жов 2017
G'day, Bernie here. Since February 2012 I have been working and travelling around Australia.
My intent is to see and enjoy as much of this beautiful country as possible, I tend to pick a new and exciting destination (to work) each year.
In between jobs I love backpacking overseas.
The concept of my travel vlogs are to show and highlight places in an informal yet informative way. I also present things with a little humour and an abundance of enjoyment. Ideally I hope to inspire you to get out and about in this great world of ours and get you to create, experience and enjoy your own adventures. Travel is the best teacher you will encounter in life.
* Please enjoy and assist with the success of my channel - UA-cam will support me if you Subscribe, Like and/or Comment. *
I will personally answer any questions you may have, or if you are seeking advice all you need do is ask. If you have any thoughts, suggestions, ideas or advice for me - please put them in the comments section.

Despacito - Hoi An, Vietnam jam session
In this Adventure with Bernie, I had the extreme pleasure of being invited to jam with 2 talented musos' for their final set. The hugely popular song Despacito, was our last for the evening. I had never heard this song before, but that applied to the previous half of the set. All you can do is your best. That's what I always do.
The lead guitarist was Russian and the singer was from Philippines, and they played at this particular restaurant a couple of nights a week. Playing music live and watching others do so, whether at home in Australia or abroad, has given me some of my greatest highs in life.

In this Adventure with Bernie I travel on the wilderness steam train ride, on the rugged West Coast of Tasmania. Included as part of the experience is the opportunity to pan for gold at Lynchford. Unfortunately, some of the railway system was closed for repairs, so I didn't get the full experience I was hoping for. Nonetheless, this region is breathtakingly picturesque, and I highly recommend v...

Time-lapse video, Pimp my tent with fairy lights

In this Adventure with Bernie I "pimp my tent" with fairy lights, for two reasons. Because it looks cool and it is safer at night. Filmed using time-lapse. I believe it's the first time I have narrated throughout a video. As an itinerant worker living and working conditions can vary greatly from job to job. However, at the end of the day it is still home and so I like to make my accommodation l...

That's classic Bernie.... I remember singing a few chords as I was walking into a koh samui pub once. Good times ❤
Something different for me, and was a fabulous experience so, up on UA-cam it goes 😊
@@adventurewithbernie why not 😀... we love a bit if variety 👍
🤣 I agree 🙏
Woooow. Awesome👏👏👏. Enjoy your time in that great country
Thank you Jukka. This was from a few years ago, but, I do hope to return one day. It's a bit of fun and shows another side of me 😃
Wow drummer😊
@@montiralimprasoet8296 Aah, thank you. I enjoy playing music and have had many opportunities in Australia and occasionally abroad 🪘😃
Australia is so faraway from Finland. It is super nice to watch your vlogs 😊I hope I can travel there in someday 😀
A long way indeed. Thank you for watching 🙏 Australia is a wonderful country, but it's huge. I'll be happy to share some tips, if you ever get here.
Ah thanks for the reminder of Kuala Lumpur. I enjoyed watching this more that I did being there. No reflection of the city it was just inordinately hot even by Malaysian standards. Glad you enjoyed your nice cooling baby blue and mint ice cream.
It was an interesting place and I met some interesting people there. But, I am not likely to return, despite their yummy ice cream 😋
Great video keep it up.🙂
@@FloridaBoatRamps-88 Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it 🤠
Nice video mate....born local I still haven't been up here yet...might do at the end of the year few huts up that way I gotta find too, be safe chat soon 👍
Thanks mate. It's a beautiful part of the State, I'm sure you will love it! Take it easy 🙏
I never even knew there was a steam train there. And the last time I went panning for gold was near arrowtown in new Zealand
@@AquariusTraveller Well there you go, that is UA-cam success right there. You learnt something from my video 😃 I'm sure NZ provided you with a huge variety of experiences. No panning for me, I wanted to make sure I had a good look around.
Hey Bernie, if you’re still in the area and are looking for something to do the hike out to see the ruins at East Pillinger is awesome, enjoy your time over in Tassie. Andy & Dave Touring OZ
@@andydavetouringoz5712 Hey, good to hear from you 😃 Alas, my Tassie adventures only ran from November to April. But thanks for thinking of me. I intend to be a little more consistent with posting, I have an abundance of footage from here and abroad. So things may dart all over the shop. Currently working in SE Queensland, in yet another stunning location. Happy and safe travels to you 🙏
Wow beautiful.
@@montiralimprasoet8296 Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. I'm very pleased you enjoyed it. I greatly appreciate it 🙏
Awesome stuff Bernie. But glad you panned out when you got inside the loo, lol. But seriously, what a wonderful circuit walk and the views and the colour of the water at the end, just wow! Well done.
Thank you Miriam. Don't worry, what happens in the toilet stays in the toilet 😬 It's a magnificent walk, which I have done a few times.
Sensory Symphony Bernie xx except the loo... 😆
Thanks for watching Bec. It was blowy, very blowy at times, made things challenging. As far as the audio went at least. You must get down there.
Great views over there Bernie. Those beaches looked untouched and lovely…I like my women that way as well. ;) Thanks for making the trek as the number of steps would disagree with me. A lovely adventure on a perfect day. Is the meat of a young roo easier to swallow than an older one? Asking for a friend. Please send along the info of the dunny diver that worked on that sweet lav. Cheers mate! Love the new shirt. *clink*
😆 Ohh Nate, so good to hear from you. Hope life is treating you all well 🙏 It's an incredibly beautiful place, Tassie. How about salty women? Hey, just take your time on these walks and enjoy Nature. Young is generally the way to go with meat. Well, unless of course you want a mature meat, then older is best 😉 I hope that clears things up. "Dunny Diver". Now that's been a long time! Sadly, many Aussie expressions once used are/have disappeared. My catchphrase gets a lot of attention and comments. Unfortunately my channel falls well below it. I am due to do another run of shirts in a month or so, if you're keen I would love to send one as a gift 🙏
@@adventurewithbernie Morning mate! I was just kidding…I do love the older women. 😉 I appreciate the thought of sending over some merchandise, but I am well aware of the fees to move items between the countries. On ya, Bernie! 🍻
In all seriousness Nate, I am more than happy to send you a free shirt. I just need to get them printed first 🤦🤣
Wow...Just WoW !!!! How great and clear did that water look and brilliant weather wise ! Looks you picked a good day. I bet a lot of people only do the trip back and forth to wineglass bay and don't even bother with Hazards, but certainly well worth it to check it out too!
Was the perfect day Chris, bit cool in the morning but warmed up. Tassie has stunningly beautiful beaches and the colours are incredible. It's 1000 steps back up from Wineglass, but shorter. But, it's a disservice to yourself if you don't do the circuit. Little did I know at the time, that the warm Tasmanian weather would be missed 🤦
@@adventurewithbernie colours are definitely incredible 😀
@@AquariusTraveller Ooh yeah, and much more 👌
Yep! 👌

Hell yeah mate what a spot, your such a lucky bugger with the contacts you have doing work like this all over the place love it.....I'm waiting for the clips from our trip any updates ?
I am very fortunate! I lost my mojo a little when it came to the editing and posting process, sadly. But I'm going to turn that around! This video (being so short) should help me get into the swing of things again. I am working on some beautiful hikes I did on the weekend, keen to get one of those posted. Then I will get back to my Tassie stuff after that. I have a heap of footage from my Thailand trip last year I need to sort out 🤦 I'll keep you up to date.
Nice video my friend, thanks for sharing. Greetings.
I am very pleased you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I appreciate it 🙏
I need to explore more of this area. How long is your contract in this area? What tours do they do?
It's very special Chris. This is a full time gig, so I will be here for a while. Tours are for in house guests, but Main Range National Park is amazing. I have much more yet to explore in the region 🤩

👍 #24 G'day Bernie, I would love to explore this place, wow! The echo as you get inside the ampitheatre is incredible! It was like you were the last man on Earth around there too mate! A great watch thank you. 👍◕‿◕
Wow, thank you. That video is about 4 years old now. I was working there the same time as COVID started wreaking havoc world wide, at the end of March 2020 the Park was shut down for a while. It was a stunning location and such a shame my time there was cut short. Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🤠
Hi there, I watched your UA-cam video. Your every video is really awesome. But your channel and your videos expect more views and subs. I analyzed Your UA-cam channel and I found UA-cam video SEO is not done. This is why your video is not going viral and views are not increasing.
Thank you for your information. But, let me be honest with you. I get this same response from someone almost every single day. To the point where I am happy to continue with my channel as is.
Wow you have worked in some amazing places. How do you get these jobs? You seem to have a lot of skills!
I most certainly have worked at some extraordinary places. I have been at it for almost 12 years, so work is easy for me to find. Along the way I have acquired many skills, knowledge and attributes. I enjoy a fulfilling life. Thanks for watching my videos and taking the time to comment 🙏
Good to see you out and about! Way back, when I was a younger teacher, I had the opportunity to move and teach in Tasmania, but life took a quick turn and things changed. I always wondered how it would have been like. All the best to you in 2024!! Bruce and Otis
I never stop moving Bruce, to be honest. Life issues us with many challenges and possibilities, we can only do our best. I am happy to say Tassie is as beautiful as ever, possibly as it was when you were here. Perhaps one day you will return for a holiday. Best wishes to both you and Otis in 2024, I hope it brings you much happiness and joy 🙏
