Same happened to me took it off and welded it all up, good digger though!
Hi Stuart I’m thinking of buying 1 of these for my landscaping business, are you happy with yours? Any problems? And build quality? Many thanks Glyn
Hello, I‘m a Chinese manufacturer. Would you like to buy it from me?
What viscosity oil does it take ?
Mine did the same thing The bracket was not tight as it is very hard to tighten I replaced it and I replaced the bolts and it fixed it
Great video! It help me, thank you
Beautiful footage🎉🎉 What an amazing place👍👍 awesome views👍👍 stay connected🌺🌺Greetings from Poland.
Greetings from Scotland
The exact thing happened to my machine The bracket bolts were not tight
Does this come with a swing boom and extended tracks
yes
I have tree trunks here with a diameter of 60 and 80 cm long. I suspect a weight of 100kg. Could this digger handle this? I would buy the extra arm to be able to hold the trunks
Lifting up to 160kg close to base will cause no problems. More than 160 kg will cause it to tip on left or right side when turning. Machine is capable to lift much more than it can be handled with its own weight.
Excellent video. I'm looking at buying a XN 12-9. Like you say, for the money, its got to be a better buy than a second hand more popular model. Always good to get an honest review from an owner. Thanks. 👍
Love it. 👍
Hey Stuart, g'day from Oz. I guess when you're in "sunny" Scotland and the seat of your digger gets hot you know something's wrong underneath it. It's good to see that you got it fixed just using old fashioned mechanical skills cos it re-inforces the idea that these Chinese machines can often be repaired without resort to expensive parts and technical assistance.
Yes common sense and good friend always helps
Hi Stuart we have just purchased one of these just with the bigger engine keep getting fuel issues on hills is this anything you are experiencing with yours thanks james
No I haven’t experienced any thing like that and I have been on very steep banks and have had no problems The only thing that went wrong is the exhaust came adrift from the engine and split Have you tried reversing up hill to see if the position of the fuel tank in relation to the engine makes any difference If It does it my be the fuel pump or an air lock
Hi Will the machine so far has been great digs well and has plenty of power as for how well it will last remains to be seen this big + is the price and if you have a bit of mechanical knowledge it is very easy to work on
Hi Stuart thinking of getting this machine how d9 you find it and is it robust. Thanks will
It’s still going and all is well but i do go over most of the nuts and bolt’s checking them regularly
what enging in it ?
It’s a coop one cylinder diesel engine
I think these filters just could be cleaned and reused?
Yes I am pretty sure they can
after what time you must change the oil?
I changed the oil at 40 hrs or one year
@@stuartheather its perfect to do every 75hours or every roughly every forthnight.
Which engine is in your machine?
Hello I have the same machine I take off the oil from the botton it’s more easy just with a adjustable wrench 🔧!
thanks for posting was going to get a used machine but after your reviews have changed my mind.
how much fuel does this newer model hold ? and does it have any fuel gauge ?
I think it holds about 5 litres there is a glass tube on the side but is quite hard to see the fuel level I just fill it up at the start of the day when I do my daily oil levels checks
Hi Stuart. Have you considered using a 12V Oil Transfer Pump, I've got a Sealey one. You can pump out the old oil via the oil filler/dipstick port and then use the pump the other way round to pump in new oil. There's 12V available on the starter solenoid located under the engine cover stay.
Now that sound like a great idea as you wouldn’t have to take of the side panels especially as I had to redo the job after missing the new oil filter didn’t come with the O ring on it 😩
@@stuartheather oh bugger, has happened to me on my motorbike… did the old filter you took out have any shavings or anything?
Looks like a good little machine mate 👍
Yes very happy with it so far
I have one on its way to me I hope it works out for me I'm going to be doing trenching for the people who need a small amount of work done in small places
Good luck with your new machine I would like to know how you get on
have one 2years now . extemely impressed. make sure you service it every 75hours. costs a pittance to service
My single cylinder digger of Chinese origin is just 12 months old and the seller has replaced one ram, starter motor and the fuel pump and it’s only been in use for 250 hours. The ram was not faulty but it came with small rust pitting on the chrome, the starter motor became hesitant but still worked but the fuel pump failed. I have worked it on clay trenches, lifting sandstone blocks and pond clearance (lifting reeds with large root balls) plus other works. These are cheap and cheerful but they must be serviced as you say. The engine oil was changed at 100 hours Fuel filter hasn’t been changed. All grease points are done every day before use (10 minutes). We also go round with a spanner to secure the studs that generally vibrate loose when greasing. Ours use 25mm pins and we have made three of our own from mild steel, very cheap to manufacture. We are experimenting to see if the pins wear quickly rather than the locating holes/bushes What do you call a full service?
What size is it. ? 1.2 ton?
Hi sorry for the delay in answering the one I have is jus under 1ton
@@stuartheather appreciate the reply!
We have the rhino xn10 windstorm version put 420hours on it so far not had any major issues with it use everything on it breaker, custom made post knocker, riddle bucket etc has dug out everything we have put in front of it so far from 100 meter long trench in shale to breaking out concrete slabs great little machines for the price and easy to maintain.
I wood like to see the post knocker in action as this would be a great tool for our small holding
I think you’ve gotten lucky getting that many hours out of the wind storm model. I had the XN10 model, blew the Changchai engine up within 100 hours, the slew motor blew a o ring out because the bolts were loose from factory. I than traded it in and got the newer style xn12-8 last year with the genuine kubota engine. So far the ignition switch gave out, a track has split and now the slew motor has just started leaking from the cog side at 140 hours. But hey you get what you pay for and despite the issues they weren’t super expensive to fix unlike a top brand machine like a cat or Komatsu or a bobcat.
@@stuartheather will try put a vid up of it
@@Ful-OGold I guess it’s luck of the draw with the Chinese diggers, I guess we were just lucky with ours, things will go wrong at some point but the system is so basic and simple they are easy to repair and maintain and luckily the supplier I got it from holds all parts in stock. Would still take the xn10 over the same size JCB as fined the nx10 operates a lot smoother.
@@jdg6541 you think the Chinese one is smoother than a JCB?
Hi Stuart, what engine did you make put them in ? and which country are u in ?
Hi sorry for the delay in responding I am in Scotland and it has a coop diesel one cylinder engine
Good Job young man !
Grab is great it took me a bit off figuring out the first time I fitted it
Mine has just hit 280hrs no major problems just a few ram seals weeping but replaced under warranty the power in them is unbelievable have just ordered grab for it hoping to lift kerbs in
Grab is great it took me a bit off figuring out the first time I fitted it
How did the warranty work out? Did they pick up the bill from a local shop?
@@dylanmunt4787 dealer sent new rams out I’ve had the old ones repaired so now got spare rams ready to go
Hi Stuart How're you getting in with the machine? I'm looking at purchasing one shortly 🤞
I am just about to post a video of having the digger for a year . It was -10 degrees about 2weeks ago. I hadn’t started it for about 6 weeks,my one doesn’t have a glow plug so didn’t hold out much hope but surprisingly started up no problem. Only thing I would say it is quite slow when your tracking any distance but haven’t had any problems digs really well and for the price it’s great 👍
BEATIFUL
Do you still satisfied with the Digger?
Yes all good starts and digs great
Is it 10-08 u have ?
Hi,thinking of purchasing the same digger as yours, would you recommend it now that you have used it for a time??
Hi David I have just about 50hr on the digger now and have had no problems . Just a tiny weep from one of the rams which seems to have stopped maybe just need to settle in. Starts and runs great it’s is a bit slow when moving from one location to another but Digs well. the controls are good and responsive just remember,it’s a low budget Machine but still better than buying a 10 /15 year old JCB with all its problems I will put a new video up shortly when I do it’s firs service Thanks Stuart
Have you had any issues with it yet??
Hi sorry for the slow response I have had no problem starts great and runs well have now 50hrs on it and about to do its first service will post a video of how that goes shortly Thanks Stuart
Hi, did you look at the machine before buying it, or take a chance of it being ok when delivered. How's it performing?
Hi didn’t get a chance to see the digger before I ordered it and was pleasantly surprised by the Feel of the Machine when i got on it I have now done about 20hrs and all seem good, starts no problem from cold even in low temperatures I have been round most of the main bolts and haven’t found anything loose which is a big + I am planning another video soon just to show how I am getting on one thing is it is slow when I am tracking to and from what ever job I am doing on the small holding
@@stuartheather that's great news. I'm down in Jedburgh and Chester's a bit far to go for a look. I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and order one this week. W S power seem like a good company to deal with. I'll look forward the your next upload and thanks for taking the time to reply.
