Whodunnit? Jackson Hole Art Association Fundraiser 2025
According to Ask AI & Question AI www.iAsk.ai:
The Jackson Hole Art Association hosts an annual event known as the “Whodunnit? Anonymous Art Show & Sale.” This event is designed to engage the community in a unique art experience where participants can bid on artwork created by various artists, including professionals, studio users, and local talents. The event not only serves as an exciting opportunity for art lovers but also functions as a significant fundraising initiative for art education.
Event Details
The 2025 edition of the Whodunnit? show will take place from February 13 to March 21, 2025, with an opening artist reception on February 13. The gallery will be open for viewing and bidding from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The event features both virtual and in-person options for viewing and bidding on artworks.
Location: Center for the Arts; 240 S Glenwood St, Jackson, WY 83001
How It Works
Participants can enjoy a competitive atmosphere while trying to guess the identity of the artists behind the anonymously submitted pieces. The artworks are created in square formats of varying sizes: 6”x6”, 12”x12”, and 18”x18”. Each size has its own bidding structure:
18”x18” artworks start at a minimum bid of $499, with increments of $25.
12”x12” artworks begin at $299, also with increments of $25.
6”x6” artworks are priced at $99, available for immediate purchase online or through a roll-of-the-dice method for those who sign up.
This format encourages participation from all segments of the community, fostering excitement around both art acquisition and artistic expression.
Benefits to Art Education
The Whodunnit? event plays a crucial role in supporting art education initiatives provided by the Jackson Hole Art Association. All proceeds from this event directly benefit their mission to offer art education programs for individuals ranging from ages one to one hundred. Additionally, these funds support community outreach programs that partner with over thirty-five organizations within the valley.
Melchor Moore is acknowledged for his contributions to this event, particularly through creating promotional content such as videos that enhance engagement during events like the Opening Artist Reception.
In summary, the Whodunnit? Anonymous Art Show & Sale is not just an art auction; it is a vital fundraising mechanism that supports ongoing educational efforts in the arts within the Jackson Hole community.

My beloved painter. He was an alcoholic in the age 7-8. Mother was busy with modeling for Degas , Renoir. Grandmother took care of him. She was a laundress. When Maurice was crying as a baby , grandma put some sugar in a piece of fabric, soaked it in alcohol and put into his mouth. After that he slept peacefully. She had job to do , his mother was never around. That’s how he became an alcoholic.

What would you say if I did come across one of Maurice Utrillo art work. Say a painting of his in winter. Montemartre, Paris. He did many paintings in on a street there. But the question is, if a painting of his done on cardboard (which he did use because he didnt have access to canvas. I guess do to the cost of it...) He managed to get canvas at some point and do canvas and oil paintings. Can share your thoughts on his paintings done onto cardboard??
