      it indicates that the woman in question is old. Since 'lady' is used for the majority of a womans life when refered to. Starting with 'young lady' from when they are a kid to at a maximum of 30 years old. Thereafter its just lady, to refer to a more mature woman. And Ma'am is when the woman has left their lady days behind and has begun their transformation into an grey saggy excuse of a girl they once was. With the exception of Police, and retail workers, being refered to as 'ma'am' means you dont look or act young anymore. Was i anywhere near close? :D

Later that year I got to announce the end of the Vietnam War there as part of the great team of officers, men and women of AFVN television - American Forces Vietnam Network in Saigon. It was the proudest moment of my life. I will always love the Army and my memories of her. PS - at that time the MOS was 71R.

      Fun fact, the other 4 companies from this battalion are part of the texas national guard. And they all operate the same if not very similarly. 1-143rd is a good battalion all around. Why they choose to travel all the way from texas to be part of the rhode island guard when they could be part of the same battalion while staying in texas? No clue, thats their own decision. But its possible they were already part of the RIARNG and chose to move out to texas

    What is sad is that RI was the most staunch supporter of liberty and considered the Constitution too regulatory....and now RI is full of taxes, rules and less freedoms than almost all other states. The men who boarded the Gaspee would be ashamed of tge state today.

    Still remember my 40/40 range score, ds and range officer were in disbelief and made me do it again. After a second 40/40 the ro challenged me to a long range shot, with iron sights I made it to 500 yards but the ro did 600 yards and I had to do pushups till everyone else was done. Moral of the story if you are good, don’t show it unless you need some apft training on your arms.

    If you need a weight bag your helmet is improperly fitted. Also, get that man some locking carabiners for his extraction strap. I know the vest comes with non-locking but you can roll them together and open the gates. Not ideal when you’re already fighting for your life and being hoisted in my professional experience.

    What happens with the first man to enter if there's an armed enemy at the opposite side right in the corner? Will he get shot?

    • @Unicorn161
      @Unicorn161 3 місяці тому

      The number two man enters immediately after the first and that's his sector to clear. This wasn't being done at full speed. It was a bit slower, possibly the first of many iterations to get ensure they were safe with life rounds. Crawl, walk, run. Blanks, live fire at half or 3/4 speed a few times, then go full speed. Especially if it's been a little while since you've done it and need to get back in practice.

    Retired Guardsman/Reservist here. Served with the 1/178th Inf. in the ILARNG for 15 years as s Scout (later redesignated as Recon). Had the chance to train with a detachment of the 20th SFG,which is also National Guard several times. My unit also sent a squad of our scouts to sniper school of which I was an assistant squad leader of. With the exception of about three of us, who bonified 19D's, the rest of us were 11B's with myself also holding an 11H MOS . We had everything from several Viet Nam vets to Force Recon Marines.

  • @sldessel

    It is not a "Myth" about using the magazine to support the rifle will cause a malfunction. This "At one time" was a "Slight Problem". They have redesigned the mags and redesigned the mag well to prevent this. On some old model mags and older AR platforms, if you applied too much upwards pressure on your mag it would move up into the path of the bolt and cause a bolt lock. This is also a problem with magazine fed handgunds. Some people will "SMASH" the magazine into the mag well and put the mag into the path of the upper slide. This problem does not happen very often so telling shooter to not worry about it is a good thing. You are better off shooting supported by the magazine then to worry about this problem..

    • @LRRPFco52
      @LRRPFco52 3 місяці тому

      It isn't physically possible to push past the magazine catch limits and bolt carrier rails/feed lip interface with the M4/M16, unless you have seriously-damaged mags. I used to use magazine monopod even with black and green follower mags in the 1990s and early 2000s when doing the old qual. I was SOTIC/Sniper trained, so I did my own thing and taught my guys how to actually shoot.
