I feel you (along with most people so dont feel bad) overbuff pokemon like fearow because they misunderstood how pokemon are balanced. Pokemon like fearow, leavanny, and onix are not meant to be able to contend with pseudolegends and top teir threats at the elite four they are designed with a purpose to fulfill in early game routes before being discarded later on for better similar pokemon. Onix is a great example of this in gen 1 and people regularly regularly shit on onix as a pokemon yet it performs its role exactly as needed. Brock has an onix on his team to serve as a teaching moment to the player early on that spamming the normal type attacks most pokemon have around level 5~10 isnt going to be enough and you need to learn the type chart or about the difference between special and physical attack/defenses in order to overcome the wall and tackle eater that onix is. Gamefreak does not and will not ever balance around competitive battles pokemon are created ofc to populate a game environment with interesting characters but also to guide a player along a certain play pattern that they intend. Ferow here for example is a two stage that evolves at level 20 which means at the time you obtain it its bst is actually quite high, higher than your second stage starter! Its movepool is full of mid power stab moves and single stat changing status moves while its typing and obtained locations means its easy to understand and gives the player an easily acceable option to deal with the common early route bug and grass types, again making progression through the early-mid game easy and obvious even to the young playerbase In conclusion not every pokemon NEEDS 500+ bst and tons of coverage and setup moves, its pokemon like luvdisk that are so weak to serve no conceivable purpose even in game or pokemon that are usually received later and are useless once obtained on like heatmore and delibird that really need buffs

You didn't do the Mega Evolution. There's only one change required. Give Mega Camerupt Drought instead of Sheer Force. Obviously, that shouldn't be its regular ability but Mega's are supposed to be overpowered and although Sheer Force is great on Mega Camerupt from an attacking perspective, it doesn't do anything to assist with its crippling Water weakness.

Honestly a solid buff concept!! I'm a big fan of the Solid Rock buff too considering every mon that has it has at least one double weakness. Personally for stats, I'd probably go for 80/80/100 bulk, and maybe bump SpAtk up to 110. I would also replace Magma Armor for something like Stamina because of the camel inspiration. I actually had a Magma Armor rework idea, where it would become the Slugma line's signature ability and basically be a Fire type version of Water Bubble. Prevent freezing, power up Fire moves, and half incoming Water damage. Great video as always!!

I would do something similar.

Outside of the 4x water weakness it only has one other weakness in ground. So, I'd say fire/ground is actually a decent defensive type.
