I just read a book by Louis L’Amore where the main character escapes a prison in Siberia and spends months on the trek to the border. He got cold and I don’t think he’s warm yet! I read that during this cold spell up in north Georgia. ❄️💜❄️💜❄️

We come from a time when our parents taught us about responsibility, character and working hard. Growing up i was the kid that the neighbors would ask me to do their yard work because i made ours look so good. The way my dad taught me to do it at 6 years old.

We lived in a kind of upscale town in WV. Very nice place where all the doctors and lawyers live etc. But, my daughter had some doozies. lol 😆

I went to school in the 70’s…graduated in 1981 and when I was in elementary school we used to have a teacher who ate Lay’s potato chips in class and played music in class and we’d have to dance each morning after we did the pledge to the allegiance to the flag, yes I’m that old (60). It was a whole different time but you couldn’t pay me enough to teach in school nowadays! Thank you for being an educator❣️

I know you were just kidding about this no longer being America because of the ice and snow you all are getting in the South, lol. When you grow up with cold, snow and ice, you learn that it's just part of life. I'm often amazed at how well those who live where it's hot and humid most of the year can stand it! 😆 When I was 37, and I was expecting our son in a week, and since my husband was working nights, I shoveled my car out of the snow (which was almost as tall as our car tires) so that I could drive into town to get to work. You just plan ahead, make sure you have necessary supplies in the car and plenty of gas, get in the car with the radio playing your favorite songs, and just enjoy the pretty view. Life is good 🙏

I live in KY and went to school today to sub. 7 degrees when I left. We had snow a few weeks ago. Our Pastor said Sunday, “Welcome to Canada!” So much for Global Warming, heh? Funny, that lady was trying to pick you up! Tammy is going to have to walk with you to protect you from the ladies.
