Just speaking facts and looking from a mature persons perspective. I think the whole work industry was and is totally screwed up because of covid.
Chris, you are so right! My brothers, sister, my daughter and I talk about this all the time. We watched our Daddy work hard for 44 yrs on the railroad as a Conductor. He worked hard on a farm when he was a little boy. My Mom was a housewife but she worked hard at home, church etc. They passed their work ethics onto us. But I think people these days do not work like people used to. I’m told by managers and other people the same thing, people don’t want to work. My sister is an Assistant Manager at Hobby Lobby and has been there for almost 14 yrs. She can tell a lot of unbelievable stories. There are still hard workers, but few and far between. 😊
Back when we joined the workforce you were expected to show up and WORK! Managers spent time developing their employees and encouraging them in their careers. Today you have kids in high school fresh out of high school as managers. They have no clue how to manage a business. Sometimes the owner of the shop does not even show up and lets the kids do what they want…as long as there is money coming in. The ones coming out of college all seem to want to start at the top or at 100K+ a year. It’s crazy as heck. Thanks for the video Chris from a grumpy old lady fan!
I went to our local grocery stores Deli and stood there while they were running down either a customer from earlier in the day or the day before I don't know. I finally got tired of listening to them running the customers down and I walked away. As I was walking away I heard ma'am ma'am can I help you man can I help you. I played very deaf until another customer told me they were trying to get my attention I turned around and again they said can we help you. I said no I don't think so very nasty tone. I figured they didn't need my money that day. Now I do most of my grocery shopping at Aldi and what I can't get there I get at walmart. Our local Walmart is just now starting to get some fresh produce but still not some of the things that I really need. But that Deli has lost my business

Judy took the words right out of my mouth - it's all about work ethics. During the 28 years I worked as a public assistance caseworker with over two-thousand families on my caseload, I worked as quickly as possible, and often gave up breaks and lunch to get the mountains of work done. At least during lunch my phone wasn't ringing off the hook. But I don't at all believe that Tammy said "Oh my God". She knows better than to use the Lord's name in vain.

What gets me is, for instance, when you get ready to pay for your food, whether at a grocery store or restaurant, say your bill is $25.50, you give them $30.50 so they'll give you a 5 dollar bill, so many of them look at you like your stupid. They look at your money and look at the register and it takes a few minutes to realize what they are suppose to give you back. That has happened to me so many times, now, I just tell them how much they're suppose to give me back.

It is a new generation that really does not care. It makes me so mad because customer service is terrible now. We learned without a customer there is no business and I was taught that the customer is always right. I get very upset and some cashiers do not even know how to make the correct change. We did not have the corrected change on the register, we had to count it back. Yes, I am old. LOL We live in a crazy world. I am very high on customer service that is what I was taught. I have not been back since they were so cold. I am glad that my parents taught me about life and how to treat others.
Chris, Chris, Chris. First of all,the people who wait on you at subway, own the business. Second corporate decides that 0n line orders get waited on first. They are trying to get rid of actual faces in the line because they don’t want to pay them. Ever see what amount of money corporate takes home for a year. They have never prepared food or waited on anyone. I was trained to do my jobs. They do not allow any money for training anymore. There is no corporate appreciation if you do know your job whether it has to do with food or working on line in a factory .

You are not spoiled about getting frustrated with the thirty min wait I am forty one and iam seeing most customer service is just insane to me. They are lazy and work place has changed where the bosses are just not going to do anything about anything anymore. It's just a shame it's just terrible. Kids are taught no respect now a days too in the schools and home. It's just really a godless society that's just how it is.
Covid ? 😂🤣
Customer service fell apart during covid and has not recovered
That's been going on long before the plandemic. 😢
@NICHOLSRETIREMENTEMPIRE
Amen on that! People now want free money-a check every month and not earn it. Covid changed SO many things we as a country will never get back. Sad.
@@jesusislord2457, but it seems that things such as trying to get in to see a doctor even when you're very ill is taking longer than it used to. The plandemic has caused a lot of problems - not just the rigged election.
@@NICHOLSRETIREMENTEMPIRE, yep, the plandemic has even adversely affected the medical field. Takes a very long time to get in to see a doctor, etc.
I’ll shame you to
Yep, yep, yep!!!!!!! Preach it Chris, society has lost their minds and their work ethic. And don't get me started on those wearing their pjs in public and act like it's totally ok, especially the ones who wear them 2 sizes too small without underwear 😮🫣
