🔥The Onion Bomb - An explosion of Flavor🔥
Get ready for a spicy flavor blast with this BBQ Onion Bomb! We're hollowing out a sweet onion and stuffing it with seasoned 90/10 ground beef, BBQ sauce, rustic Mexican cheese, jalapeño, and crumbled bacon. It's a simple yet bold dish, perfect for your Egg or Pellet-style grill.
We cook this indirectly at 300°F for 1-1.5 hours until the bacon is crisp and the meat hits 155°F. After topping with garnishes, give it another 10-15 minutes before serving. For extra flavor, rub seasoning inside and outside the onion!
Ingredients:
Sweet onion
90/10 ground beef
Thin bacon
Jalapeño
Bacon crumbles
Rustic Mexican cheese
High temp hot cheese
Seasoning mix (Meat Church Holy Voodoo, black pepper, paprika, mustard powder, jalapeño powder, chipotle powder)
High Temp Cheese Sources:
beardedbutchers.com/collections/high-temp-cheese
sausagemaker.com/?s=high+temp+cheese&post_type=product&type_aws=true&aws_id=1&aws_filter=1
Core tool: www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJTN2G8G
🔥 Note: It's got some heat, but you can dial it down by adjusting the jalapeño and chipotle powder.

I see many many people successful cooking on Weber grills. I know the Egg is very expensive, but after buying multiple grills over the years only to have them rust out; this is my longest standing grill because it has that lifetime warranty - and I've used it. So ultimately it ended up cheaper in the long run...but I totally get it. Use a weber and set it up so you have a hot space and cool space.
