Another great way is to just go into Resolve>Project Settings>Master Settings>Working Folders>Cache files location>click "Browse." It opens up a file explorer window displaying all the Render Cache media file folders. You can simply hover your cursor over each one to reveal which has the most massive file sizes taking up space and then simply "Right-click" and "Delete" them. Just remember not to click the "Select Folder" button or it can change your Working Folder path. This is also a quick and easy way to delete manually created Proxy Media and Optimized Media folders which also appear in the file explorer window that pops up. Bear in mind that because this method is essentially just accessing the Windows folder interface via Resolve, you still have to manually empty your Recycle Bin for the space to completely free up.

600GB? That's laughable. I realized yesterday I got 20 TB (which is bigger than all my harddrived combined!! So no idea how that even works) in my old CacheClip folder - which I didn't even know existed! I found this folder by accident yesterday. The new CacheClip folder I created on my maindrive for faster work was already almost 600GB in only a few months. So yeah, I am going to delete a lot of old files today :D 20TB fml.

You can set the location of the CacheClip folder under: Project Settings (little gear icon bottom right of screen) > Master Settings (top most item) > Working Folders (second from bottom box in v18). The use here would be if you had a relatively fast external or secondary drive.

I use a program called TreeSize which has a free version. This is how I figured out that Davinci was using over 600GB of disk space, even though I have cleared the Caches from inside the program. For every great feature this program has, it seems like there are at least two idiotic design or UI decision.

Great stuff. Thanks for that. My Mac was struggling to boot after I've been working on several DaVinci projects in the last few days containing many Fusion compositions. Just checked my CacheClip folder......418GB and only 78GB left on my 2TB drive!! One of the subfolders alone was 270GB.
