    8000 is to big for a small room but the midea being an inverter compressor it works fine. The compressor slows down and and the blower as well effective reducing the capacity of the unit. It won't be too humid, a standard PSC compressor window air, yes it would be to big and wouldn't dehumidify properly.

    I got a good one for you, I accidently pressed the HEADLIGHT and PLUS (+) BUTTONS at the same time, and a screen called AC (ACF) showed up. There was a setting of 0 or 1 available. I can't find anything in regards to ACF, and I have no clue what it does... Can you get back to me and let me know what ACF is, and advise which setting it should be set to cause I don't remember if it was on 0 or 1 ?

    I also bought the Midea 8000 BTU July 2023 when my house AC went out. It is very cheap to operate. So that is a plus. But just turned it on first time in 2024 and not working. NOT COOLING and error code 07. Called customer support and they will not honor the warranty unless I send a copy of receipt. Which I don't have anymore. So for around $400 I got about 4 months use out of it. Also had mold issues as most customers are noticing on the blower fan. Not happy.

    I've read that this Midea U Shape AC is quieter than the typical box unit. I'm guessing that the sound is muffled due to the main AC being buffered by the window being down. Any ordinary box units that muffle the sound decibel? Not sure why I care. I run air purifiers on turbo.

      I'm glad I can help. Just that The only thing you have to realize is that every bike has different specifications with that particular universal screen. For instance if the amperage, and the power of your hub is different than the G-Force bike you need to set that accordingly with the specifications from the manufacturer.. You should definitely ask them what the amp is of your controller and the power of your hub. They're all pretty close but you can make a big difference and burn out your controller and hub.

I'm not going to further take the whole thing apart to get rid of MOLD THAT'S NOT THERE 🤣 Most people were complaining about not even to get this thing apart that's why I did it.. So when it comes time and I have too much mold in there they'll be another video.. Other than that there's no reason for me to rip the thing apart any more than I have to..

      If you used it for a long time water drips down into that pan you can see it because it's curved filter.. other air conditioners are square so you don't see it dripping. That water is supposed to drip back into the back of the pan through the window through a couple of holes and that's where you see the water build up in the back The fan in the back then spins using that water to cool the coils. A lot of people unfortunately drill holes in the bottom of the air conditioner is getting rid of that water when it's actually part of the cooling system.. So it's perfectly normal as long as the water is not overflowing coming onto your floor and it should be tipped backwards a little bit to go through the holes in the pan into the back of the unit. But that is perfectly normal unless the holes are clogged and there's too much water and it drips over the pan into the front on your floor

      Well actually Believe it or not you can spray it with the hose.. you can take the back off spray in the inside in the sunlight and let it dry put the case back on after.. just be careful. I've cleaned many air conditioners that way and looked it up on the internet there's also UA-cam videos about how to do that.. just make sure it's completely dry before you bring it back in the house.. ;)

Since you were doing a tutorial, it would have been nice if you had demonstrated how to take the front off, disconnecting the USB thing and the wire harness on the left side, even though you may not have needed to. You were already there, it wouldn't have hurt to show everything for the sake of the viewers. The rest of the video was very helpful.

      The only thing I don't like about it is that you cannot take the fan out and clean it. For instance these types of fans are very common now very quiet, they're in the air purifiers, and even tower fans. For instance my DREO Tower fan has the same type of fan in it. Super quiet good quality. But they made it super easy where you can unscrew a couple of things and take it right out!! And you can clean it in the sink or you can vacuum it whatever.. Midea makes it nearly impossible to do that and you can see that they could make it exactly like THE DREO fan and be able to take it out. That just pisses me off. Because even though it's working fine still. You could see that there is mold and there's nothing you can do about it on the fan.. took a couple years to get like that. It's unavoidable in air conditioners. And it's making a little bit of a whining noise now kind of annoying but not too loud. I know it's because of the dust that's built up near the motor.. Now I have to find a way to rip this whole thing apart and clean it start all over again. Some videos out there that took care of that for me cuz I didn't have to do that at the time I made this video. But a pain in the ass!!

    Omg just looked inside and the blue piece is covered in white. It does look like mold 😭 my jaw dropped when I saw the difference in color. I clean my filter like once a month. Have had it about 15 months with heavy use because of the heat. I’m so distraught now and scared to use it. I don’t think I’m capable of taking it apart and trying to clean it because I’m not handy at all 😢 the worst discovery during a heat wave and will no extra money to buy a whole new unit.

    OK I really need anyone's help here. I just got my t42 last friday aug 11th. And I already wrote to Gforce twice about this and they have yet to send me an intelligent reply. On the newest models, Gforce has decided to force a new feature on the T42. When you keep the throttle down for more than 8 seconds straight, the throttle remains on full power (cruise) even though you have released the handle. They have confirmed that to me yesterday. And that is a default setting now. You don't even need to activate it, it is setup by default and its annoying when you need to slow down, because it does not. In short, the cruise gets on automatically and to turn if off, you need to press the throttle again or use the brakes. I asked them, well great ! now how do you turn it off ? Because, you know its dangerous. And that was their official reply. «Just press the throttle again or use the brakes» hell yeah ! Now I told them we need to turn this off, it doesnt make sense that you can't turn it off, and i am still waiting for a reply from them. I looked in the whole settings and i can't find anything related to the throttle/auto cruise and yes i have the YL80C manual. Anyone who can help me with this would be most welcome !

    12000 btu (purchased at costco). Been in window almost a month. Corrosion/scale appears to be forming at the bottom rear fins. Also rust color water coming out where the frame meets at the rear. Notice the internal screws in the rear started rust after the first week (look through the side vents). Runs and cool fine. But if thats corrosion on the fins....it no way this unit will last long (cooling wise). Can someone educate me on this or has anyone one else notice this issue. And I purchased two units tested the first one for three weeks no problems. But the second not so sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hate to tell you, but that screen is not stopping "micro organisms" from entering the unit. You would have to have a pretty significant filter to stop mold spores, and that would be too restrictive for the unit. Dampness and warmth is why the unit grows mold.

    Why not drill of small hole on the outside corner underneath where the corners meet for drainage. That should solve any buildup issues.

    • @thefix-itguyreviewer8151
      @thefix-itguyreviewer8151 Рік тому

      I think I've went over this before I don't remember. If you look up how an air conditioner works The drainage is important for cooling the coils in the back. It's part of the system. A lot of people ignorantly drill holes in their air conditioner they're actually used to be a plug and older air conditioners you can take out. But you're supposed to put the plug back in and let the water build up in the back if it's tilted correctly Then the fan blades in the back spin the water on the coils to keep the air conditioner cool in the back. It's actually really important. I know it's a pain but it's what you're supposed to do.. I guess a lot of air conditioners when they run too hot can get destroyed. So that's why they Don't have the option for a plug anymore to drain it because there's no way to really prove anything if the air conditioner gets too hot and gets ruined.. solution is don't have a drainage hole in don't drain it. You can put algae tabs in the back every year you should maybe get a hose and kind of wash the back out.. people supposed to do maintenance on their air conditioners and never do. The most important thing basically to stop mold which you'll never stop it's part of the whole system unfortunately that's just the way it is water and mold go hand in hand. Clean your air filters more than necessary.. clean them twice a week.. vacuum them at least twice a week or wash them I vacuum them with any vacuum that has a hose. You can also blow them out outside or wash them which is the best but then you have to wait for them to dry. Hope that helps
