On that trail map it shows 1 lift to the left and there's nothing but blues and blacks. The lift to the right takes you up to a green. And it seems there's another lift that takes you a little higher to a couple greens. But there's not 1 single green to get back down to the base. Even that lift to the right. It's blues to get back down. Soooo.... how does a beginner get back down to the base?

Great drone footage! The trail up Devil's Head is steep, but they have provided lots of helpful resting places along the way! When I got to the top of Devil's Head, I could see Campbell Mountain nearby, and the view convinced me I need to climb it too, one day! I went back and did so a couple weeks ago. I wish there were a good trail and stairway to the top of Campbell Mountain! It was a chore! (That just makes you appreciate the peak a little more!)

Great video! I’ve tried to ascend the east side before but got cliffed out and decided to take the standard route instead. Did you head straight up the gulley more or less? Can you share the route beta?

Thank you, Josh!! the memories. i picture myself skiing all those runs with you. it's been years. first skied the "Big" in 1983. flipped burgers at the Stube during the day and worked radio at night (KTXX and KJJR). was the caretaker of the Mountain House (with stocked fridges) in the Spring of 1986. stayed there from Mid April until mid June for insurance purposes. what a great couple of months living atop Big Mountain. unfortunately my skiing days ended too soon due to a back condition and i haven't skied in 25 years. but the memories remain. thanks

My in laws used to have a house outside of Woodland Park Colorado, like at 8900ft, it looked out to Pikes peak. It was awesome

Stayed at Copper Mountain 31 years ago with my wife. The room was great but the thing I liked about it was that it had a small room with a sofa that faced the bottom of the runs. At night it was nice to sit and chill with a great view. We got lucky, driving in from Denver there was an avalanche over 70 and everyone was forced to exit but it happened to be the exit for Copper Mountain. We skied at Keystone. Never did try these slopes. I miss those days with my wife. Now former wife.
