6 Mile Gold Camp Road Hike in Colorado Springs | Palmer Trail (Section 16) | Bear Creek Cañon Park

The Palmer Trail (Section 16) begins at a parking lot right off Gold Camp Road near Bear Creek Cañon Park. We hiked just over 6 miles on this scenic loop hike, mainly because the trails are being worked on and we had to take a few detours to find our way. You'll have great views of the mountains and Colorado Springs throughout the hike. This one is generally considered a moderately challenging route, and it took us under 3 hours to complete even with many breaks to take in scenery and navigate the icy conditions. Our pup loved it and we saw many other hikers with dogs on the trail as well as a couple of bikers.
