I found a nice half pint pumpkin seed wiskey bottle in the old out house depression by a butterfield spur route stop about 100 yards from my place. Not a chip or crack in it. Happy hunting bro. I would love to walk a pattern of increasing-in-size circles around that Arrastra with a metal detector. It would have made a great reference point for the Spanish to bury valuables nearby. I'd concentrate on line of site to major visible geographical features that the Spanish could have used to point in the direction of their cache to which they would then have no doubt paced-off the distance to using their normal marching gate.
