Hello you two lovely people. Just wondering how long it took to get the keys to the house you bought.
👍
Hi, Project Portugal yt are a lovely cornish couple and are beekeepers!. Might well be worth talking to them. They've just sortesnout a swarm of 40K 😮 You want to work with lime mortar when it's dry, otherwise it will just not take 😊
Get a bee keeper to remove them.
The traffic would only be an issue for me if it went like that all night, or it involved large trucks braking on the hill, and I suspect it doesn't. Your neighbours must be pleased to have someone working on the house. I know you have a long way to go, but already in a very short time one can see a change.
Thanks for this lovely comment. There aren’t any big trucks going by. Our neighbour has said they are very pleased that someone is fixing the ruin.
I would have them removed. The bee nest can get absolutely massive, and someone who cultivates bees may welcome a new hive. Alternatively it may be a wasp nest, are you sure they are bees?.
They are definitely bees 🐝 and we will take your advice and try find a local bee keeper. Thanks for your comments
HELLO, WITH 1 HOSE CONNECTED TO 1 EMPTY BOTTLE YOU CAN USE IT WITH CEMENT IN THE INTERVALS OF THE STONES, THE CEMENT MUST BE MORE LIQUID! HUGS
Oi, você está sugerindo que uma garrafa de plástico pode ser preenchida com cimento líquido, e quando vai duro pode ser usado como um tijolo?
This is an interesting suggestion, we will look into it.
❤
❤️
Enjoyed going to the garden centre with you. Great prices ! Any reason why you didn't plant them direct in the ground? Just wondering !
Thanks for the comment. We only potted them for now until we finish the landscaping in the front garden.
@@Iwantalemon thought there was a reason!😃
Both trees have yellowing leaves which suggests nutrition deficits, hopefully the new potting will fix that. Lemons like regular feeding and watering.
Thank you. That’s a great observation. We are always open to any advice on gardening and will always listen gratefully.
Hey you wanted a lemons and you got lemons! I can't believe the price of the plants there so cheap. That would be over a hundred fifty dollars for each tree in the states and the pots 40 to 50 each, then the soil another 40ish total. You got a great deal. I would go nuts there with the price of plants! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR LEMONS! In that hot climate over there, those plants are gonna use the water in those pots quick. So make sure you keep a good eye on them! You were so lucky to have such a good water supply there.
Thank you for your fantastic comment. We understand how expensive the States can be from our time spent in Arizona. We plan to buy more trees and hope to have a mini orchard.
Oh oh! Channel renaming? 😂😂😂
Lemons semper lemons
Lovely, well stocked garden centre. See you next time!
Thanks for your lovely comment. We’re sure to go back, hope you can join us
The drywall is something I would always hire out. Looking good.
Thanks for the comment. We are over the moon with the result.
❤
Thank you
Good job.
Thank you! Cheers!
They will swimm 😂😂
Thanks for the commennt. We hope they won't
I hope that fence is sturdy enough 😊 Pigs are intelligent and boars are big! Leaning against the fence with their bulk and digging up the bottom. I would really think about electrifying where their path is. That wallow is obviously a favourite.
Thanks for the comment. Something we will consider
Looking good guys.
Thank you
Smart to us the U shaped pins. They are easier to remove and reuse later if you want to make changes. Pigs will swim. I don't know if the know how to dive though.
Thank you for your comment. You are right about the U-shaped nails. Pigs can swim but they can't fly hahaha
"Have a lovely day everyone" Beautiful.
Thanks for this very sweet comment. We appreciate it
Well done both of you 😊 team work 😊
Thank you for watching. Jobs are better when you work together
❤
❤️
A wonderful job! You both work so well together. ❤❤
Thank you so much. We really try
I use a short lighter sledge hammer it it so much easier. It is looking great.
Lovely comment. Sounds like a hammer for Jen.
You should waterproof those fence posts tops to preserve the porous tops. Those post tops collect water and the water breaks down the posts faster. Also if you dip the post bottoms to go under the dirt in tar or burn the bottoms of the posts per the Japanese wood burning method to prevent rot will keep these posts years longer otherwise you're gonna be doing that all over again in a few years because the posts are so thin. You would save your sell so much more time and money down the road. I don't think those are pressure treated. I would bet so just a word to the wise. If the posts serve pressure treated, that's good, but i'm not really sure. Good luck to you. Shou Sugi Ban Shou Sugi Ban: What is it? Originating in 18th century Japan, Shou Sugi Ban is a particularly striking method of preserving wood by charring it with fire. Look into it.
This is a fantastic comment. Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about this process. We will definitely incorporate it into future projects.
Your ground looks reasonably soft and fertile. A lot of the Portugese blogs I follow have to drill through granite to get their posts in the ground. Your fence looks good, I hope they get the message.
Thanks for your comment again, we were very lucky to get such lovely ground
GREAT. I NO LONGER HAVE THE PHYSICAL CONDITIONS FOR THIS! HUGS
Thank you so much for watching our videos and taking the time for such a lovely comment.
Nice to be able to support your own community as much as possible. Once you get to know your local shopkeepers, mechanics, suppliers, they will go the extra mile for you. Have you chosen paint colours for the garden room?
We are getting to know our local tradesmen and suppliers. We haven't chosen a colour yet but we are open to any suggestions in the comment. What colour would you choose?
Yes, of course you want to make each room nice eventually. You ddnt come to Portugal to reside in a hovel. You've done great works on your on, and it's wonderful to have expert help to help bring forth your vision. I like your focused approach to your renovating. Already you've also got your land looking nice and tidy. Maopay mangud et iyo team work. I only kniw Waray, but i think we can cipher each other's language. Cheers 😊
Thank you for your very encouraging words. We love this positive comment. Teamwork kaayo. Many hands make light work

Plaster covers a multitude of sins. Well done. One down, how many more to go?.
There's still a mile to go but we are loving every second of it
It will be good to get a room finished, will feel much better I'm sure 😊
Thanks. We can't wait for that day
GOOD JOB
Thanks for your support
"Hala!" 😄
“Hala” indeed
It will look so good after a bit more plastering. What a pain in the back and arms and neck. I guess if you do that kind of work all the time it is no problem. I hope the guys will help you out with the rest later on. Bathroom Next!!!
The guys are absolute diamonds, the harder the work the more they shine. Thanks for your support. A bathroom is at the top of our list.
Really informative video, thank you. Can i ask, did your lawyer check the land registry/BUPI plan, articles, etc BEFORE you paid your deposit (in between the offer accepted and the promissory)? We are viewing a PT property on Friday for the 2nd time and your input would be helpful! By the way, we were in Cernache do Bonjardim today and walked past the fire station and lawyer office!!😊😊
First checked by the state agent then double checked by the lawyer. Good luck with your property search
