THE HAUNTED 1858 Garnett House Hotel in Garnett, Kansas
THE HAUNTED 1858 Garnett House Hotel in Garnett, Kansas
The only surviving antebellum structure in town has an extraordinary history that history cannot forget. From Native lands to the Underground Railroad, through the wild west to the 20th century the 1858 Garnett House Hotel holds the stories of the past told by those who actually lived it!
We had conversations with a Black Widow who swears her innocence, a former slave and possibly a Native American who was there before the house was even built. Each from different times "living" together to tell their tales. We experienced a variety of activities. We had devices going off, disembodied noises, and poltergeist activity.
This house is truly worth a visit, (or 2, we are already planning our next trip!!)

The HAUNTED Olde Park Hotel-The Origin of Ballinger, Texas

It may have been 111 degrees outside but The Olde Park Hotel in Ballinger, Texas was quite chilling!! The historic and haunted circa 1886 Olde Park Hotel was used as many things through the years. It was cowboy lodging, a school house, courthouse meeting hall and, like many old hotels, a brothel. Today remnants of the past fill the halls and the many rooms of Olde Park Hotel, and if you pay clo...

I've been to Garnett. My Grandparents lived there once back in the 60's & 70's
@@jimbosvidbits6166 oh cool…. It’s a small really nice town.
So why is it that most everybody assumes that spooks only come out & creep around in the dark or dark places? 🤔 Spooks are pretty much anywhere & everywhere. They can be in daylight.
I agree with you 100%!! Most people want to assume they know the afterlife rules by which they operate.. lmao! Nobody does… it’s all pseudo science… and that’s me being super friendly with terminology.. lmao.
She is buried in Crown Point Cemetery.in kokomo.
I delivered papers to this house and mowed the lawn when I was in the 7th grade, I saw a man looking at me through the window as I was mowing, I thought the guy paying me was there, he wasn't there yet, he pulled up as I was finishing the lawn, I told him I saw someone in the window, he told me there was no one in the house.
@@troythreatlevel1 oh man that’s crazy!!!!!!😮
My dads side of the family is from Kokomo never heard of this place gonna ask my grandpa bout it see if he knows this place
Lol at, do you hate the white man
🤣🤦🏽♂️
My daughters housein Indiana is haunted and her 5 yr old wont sleep in her room . Wish you'd go there please 🙏. My granddaughter drew a pic of the " ghost" she calls cat tail . It was quite scary 😮!!!
Oh man I wish we could check it out! So sorry to hear about your daughter’s child having to deal with that. Does it have constant activity? or is it just off and on?
Great video, like your content. Will watch more
Thank you! We appreciate it!!👊🏾
used to live in richmond which is the next town north of garnett
Thank you for posting this video because I have wondered what the difference was between the two King rooms.
Glad it was helpful!👍
I live in Garnett
Who came for a Silent Hill reference?
i stayed at the victor last year and imma just say if any ghost hunts there go on a daythey arent hosting an event we got alot of activity earlier in the day but when everyone else started doing stuff almost noting. Also the entire 4th floor last time when i went is trying to be kept as the historical rooms. The sinks can shock you it it out of the bathroom
I would have to stay in it to believe it. I'm not a big believer in ghosts.
That’s the way to do it! The only way. There’s nothing wrong with being a skeptic. Nowadays everyone is faking and embellishing the truth. That’s the main reason we want to experience it for ourselves. We don’t have a lot of faith in paranormal UA-camrs. Always doubt until you can prove it with your own experience! 👍
@@thecoloradotravelers7212 you'll have to take me some time. I'm from chanute.
You’re more than welcome to come with us anytime we’re in the area. We will be going back to the Garnet House next year for sure. We ran out of time last visit. There’s more we would like to explore. We don’t consider ourselves paranormal investigators. We investigate but are not investigators. If that makes sense. People love throwing titles around in the paranormal community like this is a skill set you formally learn. Lmao. There’s no performance standards to certify these fake titles, most bestow it upon themselves because of time they been doing it. Hell, I’m pretty darn good with a lawn mower and maintaining my yard at my house. I still wouldn’t call myself a landscaper..🤣🤣
@@thecoloradotravelers7212 absolutely hit me up. I'd love to do that
@aaronkoch100 will do!
She is an excellent guide!!
Yes she is!!!
What is so cool about this mine is you see the same equipment in abandoned mine videos that was in use around the 1890s-1950s still in perfect working operation today in this tour.
I live right down road from this house at 528 North Denton street
"Dead & Breakfast" 😂 Great video, thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome. Thanks for stopping by!!👍
Views are about to explode
That was an awesome video. Great job on the editing too. Thank you.
Prayers are with the families stranded in the mine 10/10/2024. Also Prayers for Strength & Healing to The Family and Friends of the individual that past away. God Bless.
She really gives a Great informative tour.
Yes she does. Very energetic and informative, one of the best tour guides at the gold mine.
Who else is here checking this out after what happened on the news?? 10/10/24 👀😬
Lol... I did, this video was pretty awesome. I hope the people aren't stuck inside that little hoist cage though. I'm hoping they were at least able to get out at the bottom and have some room. 🙏🙏
@@V.Oakley they’re out but at the bottom level 👍 waiting til the lift system gets repaired 🙏
Yes
We have done this tour twice… That elevator is no joke! I thought about an emergency exit… I wonder if the person was killed by a malfunction of the elevator?
@@christinecooper2112that’s what it seems like from the reports. The mine looks incredibly safe all things considered, but I couldn’t with my nerves 😬
Thanks for recording all this, now that someone was just killed (and 11 trapped) by an elevator malfunction who knows if this tour will continue...
You’re more than welcome… yes it’s very sad to hear someone died doing this tour. That saddens our heart.
Wow
Yup-here for this too 😂
It was the tour guide who was killed not a visitor he fell down the shaft something to do with a door maybe didn't shut the door all the way got jammed. The tour is not going to be shut down shame the Sheriff didn't explain that to the public when it first happened. Have bunch of wild media stories saying how unsafe the tour is when haven't had a fatality in 30 years before this I think that one was a heart attack an elderly person had below ground.
38:53 That could be Prince's house.
🤣🤣 good one!!
I stayed in that room back in 2021. I was goofing around with my phone and caught an orb. It was not dust. The fan was on and blowing the curtains. The orb appeared in view and went against the air flow and going up. I enjoyed my stay there and hope to be back there in a few months.
Could you guess help me out with what equipment to get started with i want a rem pod i habe a voice recorder what else should i get before i go!! Im liking the music box voice deal can you tell me more qbout that piece of equipment
Well a voice recorder is a must! That’s a good choice. REM pods are pretty good. As for the music box we like it. The paranormal music box is good but you have to be careful where you place it in relation to other equipment. We noticed if it’s too close to other devices it can trigger a false positive due to its sensitivity. You’ll hear plenty of people tell you what works and what don’t works. Let the truth be told NO ONE truly knows what works or not work. Lol. Unless they made a trip to the afterworld and had a talk with the spirits to find out the rules of what works no one really knows. Lmao.🤣 Main thing is to have fun. Don’t let anyone ruin that for you with their opinion.
@@thecoloradotravelers7212 ur the best thanks for the reply!! You gonna make anymore trips to KC!! Id like to tag along if you ever let followers join
Yes we will be back in the Kansas area for sure sometime next year. We’re currently at our last location for this year in Texas, we will pick back up around April. I’m so far behind editing all the videos right now. I have like 5 videos I still haven’t done yet.😩
I have been here seen shadow figures heard voices a member of my group was scratched at one point one of our phones went static while playing ouiji board in ritas room and only got answes through the static truly a wild experience
@@josiahtaylor4940 yes this place is truly a wild experience. Hopefully one day it will open back up.
the fact that a disembodied voice repeated what the device said is remarkable evidence, it shows that it is aware. it shows that its more than just past events repeating itself. great catch
@@Nostrathomas85 thanks we appreciate that! Yeah it was a Sony old camcorder that caught it with only the onboard audio mic. Nothing fancy at all..
@@thecoloradotravelers7212 a simple microphone or a voice recorder are my favorite type of paranormal device, and evidence like that is the reason why.
I live in Indiana. You 2 when you come back to Indiana might want to check out the city of Westfield.
What’s in the city of Westfield?
@@thecoloradotravelers7212 I know that there are many places in the area. 1. Fox Hollow and I have been told that the club house of one of the golf courses named Wood Wind Golf Club is haunted. There are many other haunted locations. In October there used to be haunted tours in the City. I grew up around the town. One of the residents wrote a haunted history of the City. It was also a stop on the Underground Railroad as was Indianapolis and Kokomo. The golf course was once named Hanging Tree Golf Course.
Oh wow, what an interesting video to watch! Do you guys do your own research on the places you visit before you get into your investigations, like the grounds history, the history of the people and such? I would love to hear about your guy’s process.
@@Nelly-ql8qo thank you for checking it out. Well as for the research, we rely heavily on the property owner(s), or caretaker to give us the crash course on the history of the location. Secondary would be other real investigators that have been to the location, then lastly other paranormal UA-camrs which we trust the least. Lol. Just being honest. We like it when the owner takes the time and walk us through the property, it keeps us honest with the facts and keeping the history accurate.
That was great. Thank you for the share
Thanks for stopping by……👍
501 North East 1st Street. Over looking White’s Funeral Home and East and West bound Hubbard. I know the address because that address is on my old drivers license and initial enlistment contract. Both Of which, I still have possession. My family owned the house for five years. I slept in that house every night during my teen years until I shipped out for boot.
Did you have any paranormal experiences while living in the house?
I heard the machine at one point when you were out of the room say, "Am I a ghost?"
Are you sure that wasn’t the ghost app on the phone?
@@thecoloradotravelers7212 no I am not sure. I just heard that mechanical sounding female voice and thought "Aww how sad!"

I would love to go there.
It’s for sure one of the locations we would love to re-visit.
What an awesome animate guide
Thank you, yes it was….. 👍
My grandma and I went here to investigate we're not 100% sure "how bad it really is" because the owner was mostly on his phone telling a friend to scared my grandma and I like a prank

Just book this hotel for upcoming weekend. I will be staying in room 201 as well. Any recommendations on things to look out for or maybe the story about why this room as I was told by hotel is one of the haunted rooms along with 301 and the 4th floor.
Hey Travis, only rooms I’ve heard of any activity was 4th floor, Room 301, elevator, kitchen, and basement. I didn’t hear anything about room 201. Maybe possibly they’re saying that because it’s directly below Eddie’s room?? Hopefully the night you stay the hotel is mostly empty. We were able to explore freely at night since it was mostly empty on the night we stayed. It’s defiantly a really cool hotel overall.
I appreciate it, ya hopefully it is. I am bringing my equipment with me and if catch anything I will let you know. By the way in places you recommend checking out in the area?
@TravisOtis if you’re ever back in the Cripple Creek area, you may want to check out the St. Nickolas Hotel. It also has a very haunted history/background.
