Your films always bring s tears to my eyes as you show how incredibly BEAUTIFUL this world and all the creatures in it are. People need to stop and breath. There is so much beauty all around.

nice film ,i hunt game and ducks with peregrines during the season and witness some amazing feats of flying ,we do our best to avoid pigeon flights and the birds generally ignore them, except on windy days where the pigeon loses any of its natural advantages of avoidance ,so i catch a few each season ,usually when flying in a gale, here's a video of a nice flight at teal ,she knocks it over but it made the water ,the telemetry on the bird tells you its height throughout and the stoop speed in this case was 115 mph which is pretty average for Nike, filmed on my phone sadly hawking and filming aren't great partners but sometimes i get lucky ua-cam.com/video/mDcBITLyS2A/v-deo.html

I live in Citrusdal in the Western Cape of South Africa. I'm a bird photographer with a very bottom-of-the-range Bridge camera - a Canon Powershot SX60HS. I was down by one of the dams one day and on the opposite side of the dam I saw a Peregrine take off after a dove. It was either a Peregrine or a Lanner. The dove never stood a chance and neither did I. I just stood there, mouth agape, clutching my camera until there was an explosion of feathers, the falcon scooped the dead bird up as it hit it and was gone into the orange trees.

I don't eat much too over last 10 plus years. I love the many species of them

I once observed a peregrine falcon slam a pigeon less than 100 feet above me. The pigeon hit the ground less than 20 feet from me and the falcon came down, finished it off and flew away with it. It was an absolutely incredible event to see.

Great video. As a pigeon fancier I’ve witnessed this 100’s of times. It’s very rare the falcon actually catches 1 around my house. If only he caught 1 and left that would be fine. It’s the carnage they cause attacking the flock. If the pigeons are fit, flying around the house fast, he tends to leave them be, if they’re too low he leaves them. The pigeons have learned to keep above the falcon now but once they make the wrong move, he’s on them. I’ve seen some cracking hunts and the pigeons to be fair are just as great escaping. I enjoy watching if it’s my neighbours pigeons 😂

We have an eclectus parrot here in Australia. He flies free every day. I've seen him chased a few times by hawks and they disappear behind a tree or a building. He's 6 years old now. I worry every day but so far he's survived. He knows all the moves and sometimes comes past us low down flat out doing 90 degree turns etc. He really enjoys flying. Windy days are obviously the most fun for most birds.
