Thank you
Yup, that’ll do it!
How can I communicate with Mr. Scott Philips
"This is why we can't have nice things...." no truer words were ever spoken....
very clear and structured explanation! It'd be nice to review the QRH as a final walk through of the system.
I wish vids like these existed for every major DCS and MSFS Plane
Saw their Saab there when I went there on a cruise pretty cool!
Abort take-off. No CTOT, no go.

Dude that’s sick what plane is that?

I don’t recognise any failure here 😅😎

I Be Cheap! Memories.
Do you have a pressurisation/ explaining how the cabin pressure system works please?
Are you available for personal help??
What do you need?
@@scottphillips8400 I’m starting training in the 340b + may 1st. Just looking for some insight on how I should start preparing my self for what’s to come. I’ve been looking for some material online but what’s available is very limited
@@scottphillips8400 I have a poster from 1987 of the cockpit panels and I’ve been looking over this PDF I got called “Saab 340’s for dummies”
@@Aviation2525 where will you be training?
@@scottphillips8400 I start training in Lakeland fl and finish in the sim based in Miami fl
Is it possible to get an AMM for the 340 or a training MM, im studying to become an aircraft mechanic and will soon have my internship at a place that works with 340s and 2000s so would be good to learn the systems and basics first.
Where do you live?

I don’t remember
Saab 340 have small fuel tank?
It Carrie’s about 5600 pounds of fuel. Burns about 800-900 in cruise per hour. The farthest distance I’ve travelled full of fuel was 1300 miles, but we had it pulled back to long range cruise power to get there.
an ancient aircraft
Actually, it’s the newest I’ve flown. T-37,T-38, KC-135, Saab 340.
OMG! Isnt there just a on/off, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, cruise and reverse??😁
Wouldn’t that be nice
this isen't roblox bro
nice lol
The clutch is supposed to slip so that you can override the aircraft if necessary if not it would drive you into the dirt the proper test mean it's wise is you put a Spring scale on the yoke and a certain amount of force is required to override the clutch I worked on these aircraft for many years
But should it slip that much? I’ve never seen a Saab stall test that bad.
@@scottphillips8400 If you check the manual it should be somewhere in the range of 10 to 15 pounds of force to override the pusher
@@user-kp1kg6lc9t we teach 80-90 pounds of force to override the pusher
340a gauges?
You are correct. A model IBC
Worked on 184
Ooh I like the flaps indicator!
This was very helpful! Thank you so much!
Let me know if you need anything else xplained
I'm like, "Is that a SAAB 340 Panel?" Then I checked your channel lol! Glad I still recognize it after all these years. I loved working on the 340's.
Amazing what we remember
Thanks for* sharing! - Sounds like something is slipping a bit as the cogs jump and grind =\
I always thought the SAAB 340 was a bad ass aircraft!
I’ve always loved it and I flew military jets.
What’s the aircraft????
This is a Saab 340B
What is this? Why no intro to tell us what this is?
I posted it on a Saab 340 training site. Unfortunately I didn’t qualify what it was in the title, because it was directed at a very small audience. Sorry for the confusion.
Just re-read what you said in the thumbnail. That's not what happened!
Les avions Saab sont ils plus fiable que les voitures ?
Historiquement, les avions Saab ont été bien plus fiables que les automobiles.
Air conditioning SUCKED!
Always has. Always will.
Prox switch?
Hi Scott, How do you know the minimum CTOT that you can use for takeoff? Thanks.
Really good question. Lots of variables. Where do you work and what program are you using to calculate? AOM/AFM performance or an electronic program?
@@scottphillips8400 I am SIC IBC Airways. The PIC selects the CTOT for takeoff, but I've always been curious how low we can select it. I know that the maximum power reduction is limited to 25% of the TO power for the actual temperature. If you can explain a little more about this, I would appreciate it. Your videos have been a very important part of my training. Thank you.

Amazing, isn’t it?
Hi Scott, I can’t answer this meter anemology but wonder, was there a secret lub for the dwell movement or was it simply a mechanical friction thing?
@@lescraythorn2361 I would have to talk to my maintenance folks on this question. That is pretty in depth. I’ll try. Or maybe there are some maintenance people here that know the answer
