Personally, I think Cloverworks could try it, since they are familiar with director Keiichirou Saitou, who did _Bocchi The Rock_ for them. Barring that, KyoAni or TRIGGER. Ultimately, it's not up to Madhouse. It's up to the people who put up the money, TOHO & Nippon TV. If the money men believe they can get the same results for less... Hell, they'd give it to GOHANDS. One thing that we do NOT want is to use up all the chapters too quickly, because then the demand for more will drive the money men to do things like.... anime-only episodes. AKA filler. And the rate at which the story is coming out is not steady-state, either. As of this week, the manga has gone on indefinite hiatus for unstated reasons. Maybe it's to help with the next season. Maybe it's just a vacation. But if they do another season, I'd be happy with a single cour covering the story up to the next major storyline, then the next one for said story. But whatever happens, we do not want to kill the elf that laid the golden mimic. >_<

Kaiju No. 8 definitely hits different if you're over 30. Kafka is the most relatable shonen protagonist I've seen. Been reading the manga since it started, the story definitely ramps up more further in, but that's just how shonen is. Overall I'm happy with the adaptation so far. Most of the voices are on point, and the visuals are really damn solid. Frankly happier with it than a chunk of the Chainsaw Man adaptation.

1960-1985 = First Gen 1985-2000 = Old Gen 2000-2020 = New Gen 2020-20?? = Next Gen It has less to do with the start, end, and manga of a series. More to do with the reception. Devilman and Dororo are new gen anime from first gen manga. Parasyte: the Maxim is a close example. Technically DBZ and the big 3 permeate different generations. great show btw

If Marvel wants to do an origin story after Infinity War it should typically be with a well appreciated character. Thats why Superman, Batman, Xmen, and Spiderman can get a reset. I really like the idea of Marvel Martial arts films like Chang-Chi, Iron Fist etc. IF they can execute

Are we really forgetting KyoAni and Saru? I mean, sure, neither could do a Madhouse born show as well as Madhouse, but come on, those two would be fantastic to take over Frieren. With all due respect, picking Mappa without even thinking of them first is wild. Bones would still be great, they would be forced to buckle down with something as successful as Frieren.

On MyAnimeList the top 10-2 shows have ratings of 9.02 through 9.09 (FMA:B at 9.09). Then Frieren is at 9.39! Absolutely goated, not even close.

If someone's favorite anime is JJK, they should be used to other anime being better than their favorite, not that hard lol

@52:00 Just one thing i want to note is that that although Frieren is getting a few haters, they'r minuscule compared to those who love it. this can be seen by the way that its ratings is going up after the series finishing. to me this means that most often when people watch this series , they will love it , and those who will give it a low rating will be few and far in between. i do think Frieren will dethrone FMA and i think it will be deserved , this is coming from someone who for a long time believed that FMA deserved it's place as the best anime of all time.

You are not convincing me that it is better than Steins;Gate. Best story, best characters, believable drama and best romance. Visuals? Obviously not, but I do not care about visuals that much and i do not care about battle scenes in the slightest.

JoJo stopped being shonen 20 years ago, so it's not an long running shonen.

The question of where BSD is a question I asked myself this whole contest. They won second to jjk for best anime, and best male voice actors had a majority of the BSD cast. They went up and beyond with season 5, ep with the ending. Also Aya on not protect at all cost? smh

JJK might not have a complex narrative but at least I like most of character writing. Gojo is basically a supervillain who works for the good guys and Sakuna would turn a high visibility ninja into meat cubes before he got to the 3rd word of a talk-no-jutstu. Nanamin is officially my spirit animal and Toji, the guy they gave fate breaking powers by the way; is that dad who hasn't came back from getting milk yet 12 years ago.

imagine aping the Trash Taste name but talking about anime like you know nothing XD. these two are hilarious. the only reason battle shonen has "fallen off"(btw thats how to use air quotes) is b/c their as so many more genre of anime out now. So everyone can find a show or style they like. wait it's also about video games. Kard wtf are you talking. about both The last of us and new god of war are masterclasses for storetelling and narritive structure but also so similiar to say one is not good and the other is great is b/c you didn't like the gameplay of one over the other. I can enjoy more actiony shows to this day but the standard shonen just arent cutting it. I actually enjoyed hells psrafisd because the power system is do intertwined with the characters morals and flaws. Fakestrange fake more of an action show. But the story is just as important as the action. Its a unique take on the grail war. And i always liked the power system in fate. When you have shows like jjk and demon slayer where the action carries everything including the story i lose interest really quickly. But my top anime of last year were heavenly delusion vindland saga and frieren. With mushoku and undead unluck being 4 and 5

JJK, Demon Slayer and My Hero are all “good” they are good cliche inspired by other past great works and unoriginal but still good. Nothing pops off as far as storytelling because they are so damn cliche. The thing that propelled them was that they are in a time where even garbage gets good animation. They’re all readable or watchable for sure it’s just nothing special besides blood and gore as well as shock value. AOT is the single most overrated manga/anime imo tho. It’s good, too tier even. It just took a typical anime turn where everyone has some type of powers. It’s also a lot of shock value and me personally that doesn’t do it for me. Vineland saga is so damn underrated it’s crazy. They created in my opinion one of the greatest “villains” in manag history. One Piece is the GOAT tho. It’s just the closest thing to flawless it can be. Characters being built up since the beginning and only expounded upon so it’s almost never just a new random character pulling up. The world building is just too good. Every character feels impactful and there is a slightly darker undertone adults can catch on to while children can just follow Luffys adventures without ever knowing. The absolute only thing keeping One Piece from perfection is that it lacks a truly iconic villain in my opinion.

Mha is predictable, yeah because the story was quite literally told to us in that format. We know what needs to happen and so we can reverse engineer the story in our minds to understand what will happen, if Midoryia becomes x then Y must be gone in order for him to become X, therefore at some point Y will be gone- but I mean what do I expect from a Mushokou Tensei defender, shit is hot garbage with actviely horrible story telling, a weak plot and a cast of shitty characters, only reason people read it is to fill their incel fantaises and because it's a isekei. Trust me I read the whole thing, it never got better, it only got worse, fell into trope after trope, did some truly questionable things and at some point, shit felt like re skin re monster, which is also ass- overall trash but I shouldn't pull Mushokou Tensei down to lift another show up. If you think it's good that is fine, your just a weirdo and as long as you keep well away from children that is A. OK with me, just make sure to jump of a bridge when your done reading

From what you're saying, you just expect every modern day action shonen to be less action packed and instead have more in depth into the characters. The reason this gets so much popularity is because it's what people look for. They watch John Wick for the same reason. The reason your opnion doesn't deserve a UA-cam video imo is because there are SO MANY anime that have in depth, well written characters that focus on the story and less on the action. And you don't even name them. I can tell you used to watch anime years ago but you need to understand how much more mainstream anime has become. All you do is expect modern day action shonen to be more like classic action shonen (which we consided classic today), you obviously have a preference, but your opinion is only based around one argument: "modern action have less in depth storytelling" which isn't even true. You compare anime with over 600 episodes to anime with 40 episodes and expect the same. Failing to realize that these "big three" you're refering to had the exact same amount of depth in the same amount of episodes. The animation and following was just a whole lot more lackluster. People also have to understand that Shonen manga and anime isn't really geared towards anyone but the Japanese. Their taste will determine what's gets cancelled and what thrives. For the record, I bypass a lot of "battle shonen" can't stand One-Punch, Solo Leveling, and even Dragonball anymore

One minute in(1:30), and that other guy is talking nonsense. If you check social media, google search traffic, etc, you would see that your take is completely made up. Try to use actual examples to support your claims instead of using "it feels like argument" since it can sometimes not be grounded in reality
