I Boosted my points (X3) just to discover that the money spent would never be equivalent to the benefit. I literally gift 1000 euros. My recommendation is to never buy or boost AVIOS points. It is a scam.

Hey I’m a little confused, not sure if I’m using the flight search incorrectly but I’ve got around 70,000 avois saved up and no way I’m finding flights for 13000. I’m getting quotes of £1200 + 50000 avoid for most flights (UK TO US)

We have just signed up for the BA executive club and can’t seem to find the menu at 2.01 that shows the places where you can gain points through apple and places like that. Can you point us in the right direction

WARNING: Avios isn't exactly a "scam" but the video leaves out a huge issue: On any one flight there are only a small number of "reward flight" seats available which can be bought with Avios. These become available around 300 days before the flight - and they always sell out. So if you're thinking you'll be able to hop on the website and book your free flight seat for a flight in a couple of weeks, or even a couple of months time - chances are, no, you won't. Particularly if you're looking to group travel. You might get more luck travelling alone. So yeah, it's *nowhere near* as useful and amazing as it would be if you could just go ahead and book any seat on any flight with Avios. You can't, and if that's what you're hoping for? Forget it.

If you pay for purchase through the executive club but with an Amex card. Do you also get your Amex point ontop of your Avios?

Of course there are loads of other cash back sites offering similar discounts. It’s a choice whether you want avios or cash

Do you have to find BA flights a way in advance as when I look at destinations for few months away you have to be really flexible no dates I want!?

It used to be good, now it's rubbish. British Airways have changed the way they allow you to find Avios flights. This means you have to search flight by flight to find out if you can use your avios., I haven't found a single flight in two years.

Nectar card lets you convert Nectar points to Avios. I drive a van for work, I have a company fuel card to fill the van with fuel and I always get my fuel from Sainsburys or Esso as I can collect Nectar points at them then my account is set to automatically transfer them to Avios.

I booked hotels from booking with qatar airways program, this is give me 1Avios = 1$. But when I am making reservation I can see how many points I get. When I am trying to do it wit BA page I dont see how many points will I get. Is it OK or should I see points if I am redirected correctly?
