Sounds amazing!
Why no gear
I'm geared head to toe. Aplinestars Moflow jacket/air bag vest and gloves plus riding pants/boots
Beautiful scenery, beautiful bike 🏍
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching
Beautiful bike ❤
Thank you!
Awesome video! But you should ditch the weirdo on the red bike... Lol!
Trouble is I think he can keep up😂
@DongYonder He can now!
What seat do you have on your M1kR?
It's the stock seat with a Lui Moto cover. My upholstery guy also cut the factory foam and put memory foam in. It's surprisingly comfy now
You should get the GS tools device. Worth looking up. You can change your dash layout and add different levels for the heated grips.
The M already has all the layouts available, I just like the standard one most of the time
@ I understand that. You can change your rpm range and also change from 3 levels to 5 levels. BT Moto did a video about different things the GS tool device does. I don’t have a M1000R yet but I will be picking up a leftover 2024 soon enough.
@@RadDadisRad awesome! I'll have to look into it. Enjoy the bike, great choice!
@@DongYonderin addition, the GS911 tool allows you to reset the travel sensor on the rear shock after you adjust the preload. It makes a huge difference in the comfort of the ride. As for screen layouts, you can add/edit/delete certain data from certain screens. You can also adjust the levels of the heated grip and their percentage of heat by level. And you can do your service resets, read your engine codes, etc, etc, etc. Well worth spending the money on it if you own a BMW (I have 7 but not all are modern enough to use the GS911 tool).
@@cj-ef1rp awesome. I'll have to pick one up
Those Alpinestars SP8 gloves are really good. They are my go to. Have you deleted the pair valves and the evap?
Love the SP8’S! Didn’t touch any of that. Might down the road but haven’t been able to figure what the actual benefits are
@@DongYonder pair valve delete helps with the tuning. BT Moto will be able to shed more light on it. Same with the evap delete.

Looks like you're getting over your fears of posting more "fun"! Lol! Can't wait to see it!
Need some SP2 content😂
Beautiful all three What are those all stock exhausts ?
Full Akra on the RR Akra/Sc project on the R and stock (for now😂) on the Duc
Nice one thanks, fits perfectly!
Awesome!
Did you consider the Michelin Power 6? I’m going to get a pair in the new year
Sure did. It was a close call. I ended up going with the Rossos after reading a lot of good things about them in the M1KR groups. Lotta guys using them saying they are a great fit on the bike. I don’t think you can go wrong with either, the Power 6 is a great tire
Just bought this bike a few days ago. Do your carbon wheels make a funny whirling sound? Is this normal?
Congrats! Without hearing the noise it’s hard to say but I would bet you’re hearing the tires on the road
AWESOME!!! THey are definitely the most aggressive beasts around!! Exact opposite of the M1kRR...where its a rough full on race bike with zero creature comforts at all compared to the M1KRR being all refined
Still blows me away how that M1K does what it does. Impressive machines!
Where did you get the black and red BMW logo?? Looks AWESOME!! You have the perfectly rounded out set of bikes between the 3 you have right now for sure!! Buddy of mine just slapped an Ohlins steering damper on his M1kR...its the one thing on these bikes that I see, where it gets some shake that it hopefully corrects...
Found em on eBay. They aren’t quite as nice as the factory ones but unless they are side by side it’s hard to tell. I’m really happy with these 3 bikes! I thankfully haven’t had any issues with shake on my R but I’ve seen it reported. Hope that does the trick for him! If it doesn’t have him make sure his suspension/tire pressures are set up
Looks awesome. And the sound is great!. Feels good to watch your videos in such good quality. Makes the waiting time for mine easier :)
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
what are your views on the new m1000r?
Same bike just different cosmetics. I like the 24 headlight on mine better, the new 25’s just looks like every other naked bike out there to me now. I do like some of the new colors though. It’ll be a great bike
@DongYonder i do feel like people are comparing the headlamp to the triumph speed triple more now
I’m definitely one of them😂 To me it looks like the Triumph, Ducati SF and the new Honda Hornet
@@DongYonder agreed. The design team needs a fresh kick start. They are probably out of ideas.
Gerbing heated gear works great with my M1KR, extending that riding season in the Midwest
I'll give them a look, appreciate it!
Did you consider the SLR tune when shopping for tunes? Debating between the two but leaning toward SLR. Love the Vids, helps other owners for sure who are new to the bike.
I bounced between them. Ultimately my dealer had done a lot of BT tunes and had a good opinion of them. I've been really happy with the BT Stage1 and 2 tunes. I don't think you could go wrong with SLR or BT though
THIS WAS THE ONE IN HURST, TX 😭😭 I WAS SCHEDULED TO SEE IT ON TUESDAY, BUT YOU BOUGHT IT LAST SATURDAY 😭😭 Enjoy her for me! Lol
Haha oh man. I was surprised it lasted as long as it did. I was going to pull the trigger a week prior and they tried to raise the price on me. I held out for the original price fully expecting someone else to snag it but it worked out. It’s in a loving home, I’ll take good care of it🫡
that thing is super sweet man, ride safe.
Thanks man! Appreciate you watching!
oh you have them both!
Hi So I guess by now you've seen images and video on the 2025 M1000R with the redesigned headlights? Looks so mean. Apart from that, not a lot else has changed that I can see, so I'm wondering if it would be possible to retrofit the new lamps to our bikes when they become available without much electrical issues or heavy mods at the top of the forks. Just looking for opinions, here.
Hard to say, I imagine it will be possible though. If you’re on Facebook I would join some of the M1000R groups. Someone there is bound to try it
Nice bike. Yeah you got the cosmetic version of both the bmw M bike and the last Ducati with single swing arm...
Appreciate it! That was sort of my thinking. I like both of these 24 models way more than the coming 25’s
How is the windscreen?
I like it. Helps a bit but still a naked bike either way. Liked how it looks more than anything else
Nice camera clarity. What are you runnin'?
Thanks! DJI Osmo 4 and 5
I am currently commuting on mine in the developing UK winter and so far so good. She has nearly 10,000 miles on her since new.
Glad to hear that!
Baffle out please lol 😂🤷♂️
Do you mind sharing the link to which crispy design decal you used for the ilmberger belly pan? Thanks for your time. Other question, do you think the ilmberger fly screen is any improvement over the stock carbon or not really?
crispydesigns.co.uk/products/ilmberger-carbon-m-style-belly-pan-decals?_pos=1&_sid=afdf523a1&_ss=r The ilmberger screen takes some wind off the chest, better than the little stock one for sure. Definitely still a naked bike. I mainly did it for the aesthetic
@@DongYonder you're the best, thanks!
This is the SHOEI Chin Curtain Type D right?
Yessir thats it
You said you were tall, how tall are you? I'm 6'4 so sometimes i dont fit on these things..
6’3” so we’re close. As far as sport bikes these are definitely as good as it gets for tall guys
@@DongYonder Good to know, thank you for the reply...
@ yessir, thanks for watching!
How are these Rizoma mirrors working with your Evotech bar ends? Still buzzing like crazy? I got my M1000R 2 months ago. Amazing bike but the mirrors are absolutely useless above 4500rpm. Still have a pair of Rizoma Retro mirrors around and might give the Evotech bar ends a shot if that improves anything.
These mirrors are made by HJR in the UK. They are much better than the factory, not perfect but completely usable now
@@DongYonder I see it now. They look pretty much identical to the Rizomas from the front, but a little different from the back and side profile. Will give these a shot. Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it!
@@DongYonder btw, how did you manage to securely fit that Quadlock mount? Mine keeps slipping off to the side.. Don't have that pro version but the older one.
@ just mounted it normally using the spacers it’s came with. It’s rock solid
@@DongYonder must have lost that spacer then. Love what you've done with your exhaust. That S1 will be my winter project :D Ride safe!
I've had mine since launch and not had a single speed wobble. Mirrors! Pah. Just not enough of an issue to bother me. At all. Fortunately, us Europeans don't suffer that flat spot in the tuning. In the UK, insurance is going to be the downfall of this bike for me. I nearly couldn't get a policy this year after one year of ownership, and now I'm dreading the renewal in April '25. I have also experienced the "no shift" issue. I did a track day on it, though, and it was faultless. The TFT and tech on this bike is monumental but I think that changing the suspension settings from road to race means a lot of screen navigation which has become annoying. It loves going slow AND fast. I can't remain going slow on it for too long, unfortunately. Once you get into to the "zone" of this thing, you cannot think rationally anymore and my right hand just keeps rotating.
Appreciate your thoughts! Amazing machines. I hope you’re able to get the insurance sorted. I have to wonder is that how Europe is trying to crack down on bikes like these?
@@DongYonder That's a good point. It wouldn't surprise me if that were the case. I'm hoping, come April when all my convictions come off my licence, that the insurance cost won't be too bad. Recently, the right hand winglet plastic cracked near the rear mounting bolt. BMW are changing it on warranty as it is a known issue. Bear that in mind if you find a crack on your winglets. Also, the right hand headlamp fairing snapped off during a track day last summer. £60 for the plastic and another £60 for the decal.
Love mine as well. My complaints are minimal but the vibration in the stock mirrors is TERRIBLE and renders them useless. I also do get wobble in the front end above 220km/h which i dont like. Im a big guy though so i probably need to adjust my suspension again.
Check our HJR mirrors. Replaced my factory ones and they are much better on the vibes. Actually usable and a direct replacement. No wobble for me thankfully and I'm a big boy. I'd play around with your tire pressures a bit if you haven't as well as the suspension. Thanks for watching
wow beautiful bike
Appreciate it!
Amazing machines you got! Just wondering if the M1000R fits the tall guy well.
I’m 6’3” and it’s surprisingly comfortable
@@DongYonder Thanks bud!
Good thing I have a 1400 and getting the r10
That ohlins looks damm cool 😎 yes strongly agree with that kind of price it should have come with ohlins even the new fireblades have them.
Transformed the bike! Thanks for watching
Yeah i agree with you on the 2025 m1000rr. That s1000rr is looking nice though. Question you just swapped out the internals on the forks?
I like the new S1k’s. If I could have unlimited bikes I’d get that grey/blue one in a heartbeat. And yup factory fork tubes new internals. You can use the Ohlins tubes but you’ll lose the lower carbon pieces on the wheel without a custom adaptor. They are out there but they still have to be machined and I just didn’t want to mess with it for the gold tubes
I understand you might not want to go through the hassle but usually the way to put any company on the spot is through social media. Make noise in reddit, x, youtube, try to get content creators involved, all that jazz. If it gets mediatic enough they will become all soft for you
If I wasn’t able to remedy it myself I probably would have started raising hell but at this point it’s over with and I just won’t buy Ohlins anymore. If a bike comes with them cool but I’ll go elsewhere for suspension otherwise. It’s a shame because they do make great stuff
The change to the öhlins in the vibrations of the dome is very noticeable. And god, I would hate to have those bikes and not have racing circuits or at least canyons nearby. Here in Spain we are full of MotoGP World Cup circuits that you can enter, and it is full of great mountain roads, a paradise for motorcycles.
I’m definitely jealous of having tracks like that near by! Hopefully someday I’ll live somewhere more bike friendly
Nice bike !
Appreciate it!
where did you get the carbon?
MotovationUSA when they have the ilmberger stuff in stock, otherwise I just order direct from ilmberger Germany
Do you feel vibrations from the handlebar of your bike? Been hearing alot of that from other owners of same bike.
Before I added bar weights, yes. Once the bar weights were on there’s still some vibration but I don’t notice it much anymore
wow two beauties
Appreciate it!
Heyyyy! Please tell me how the vibrations are after an hour or so… damn dealers wont let me test ride it.
Once I added the Evotech bar weights the vibes aren’t bad at all. Prior my hand would go numb after an hour.
@@DongYonder thanks for letting me know.
Ayeee eurotek is my dealer too, maybe I’ll see ya on the road 🤘🏽🤘🏽
That’s awesome! What bike are you on?

what wind screen is on it DongYonder? Is it that WRS screen? Does it put the wind over your helmet when on the highway?
It’s made by ilmberger as well. It’s the same size/shape as the Puig just carbon fiber. It takes wind off the chest but helmet gets blasted either way. Definitely a naked bike still
@@DongYonder I think there's a company that does make a higher screen and claims to take the wind off the shoulder and helmet area. I booked marked it already... :)
@@markettradinggenius good to know! Truthfully I just went with the carbon one for aesthetic reasons, it helping a little was just a nice side effect. I typically don't take it up and down the interstate, more just back roads and its enough for me. I completely understand trying one thats more substantial though!
Nice video 👍🫡
