    Thats exactly what I needed. Calisthenics is not only about physical but mental too. There is a book called "Sun and steel" written by japanese writer Yukio Mishima which explores exactly the same theme of the unity of body and mind. Thank you for the video!!

    Eloquent video brother. Putting things in perspective is how you keep spiraling forward. Asking what is best for me is deep introspection work. The power to discern is what maxes out your potential in the end. Dips and pullups can give you everything if you let it. But wanting more is the spice of life. Most people aren't impressed by anything if they can't do it themselves yet. So everything has to be for you and your family. God speed brother

    Nice video man, it’s great to hear about barefoot shoes in an MMA context. What’s your opinion on Altra shoes for running/sprinting? They’re zero-drop and have a wide toebox to let your toes spread out, but they have more cushioned midsoles than most barefoot shoes. There’s not many grassy areas where I live, so I was wondering if these are better for running on concrete.

    • @Bryantpabonprimal
      @Bryantpabonprimal 3 місяці тому

      Yea I use a wider toe box shoes like the ultra when I run on concrete less stress on your feet. That works 👍

    Your axtually lightyears ahead of the guys you were competing against you just lacked comprehension in certain positions. The first guy couldnt hold you down which is why he kept letting you up and that pin you got at the end was super creative. Your wrestling should be an extension of your jiujitsu. Instead of shooting from the outside you should set up your offense from any of the tie variations (underhook, overhook, russian, two on one etc) you already have a high level of awareness its really just understanding the ruleset

    Great video and advice, would you do this workout between your martial arts training sessions or at the end of the week when you can have a day off the next day like Sunday? Did the tiredness ever affect negatively your performance on the matt?

    • @Bryantpabonprimal
      @Bryantpabonprimal 6 місяців тому

      It depends on the athlete and their own work capacity. For me personally I can do a strength or sprint session with a lower intensity and still perform on the mats. Now if you’re newer to training and don’t have the capacity I recommend splitting up your martial arts training and strength & conditioning sessions on days you don’t train martial arts. Hope this helps

I do burpees with sprints, try this and lemme know what you think. 2 burpees with push ups, sprint to a desginated cone, 4 burpees, sprint back, 6 etc, all the way to 10 then go back down the pyramid. add weight or reps for harder challenge
