Jesse and I (Hannah) dream of white sandy beaches, the open waters, and adventure. We both have very demanding careers in the field of technology, and would love to someday buy a sailboat and trade in our stressful lives in order to live life to the fullest and explore this beautiful planet by sea.
We are only at the beginning of our journey. So far we have purchased a 42' Uniflite motor yacht in need of some serious love. Once we are finished with the necessary restoration projects, we will start by exploring the islands around us in Washington state.

Diesel heater
For anyone interested in a little trick for bilge sludge and oil residue, fill a commercial spray bottle 1/2 and 1/2 with Dawn Platinum Dish Soup and steaming hot water. Spray the bilge box down and just let it sit for like 30mins and then suck it out with a shop vac. Works amazing.
On your prop shaft zincs you should have placed them further up the prop shafts. Where they are now they are too close to the cutlass bearings. Water keeps the bearings cool.
Started watching your boat restoration which looked excellent but absolutely ruined by Relentless loud boring and frankly pointless loop music when will people realise less is more musical editing is a fine art and can make or break a good series having said that I wish you the very best of luck and safe sailing
I have a husband, he can't stand up to work, she repaired the whole ship herself
Please paint over all wood panels possibly white to make lighter and makes the room look bigger.
I read that they broke up and sold the boat. I hope not. Please date if you know more🙏🏼
good luck and I hope all your dreams come true and by the way what are you going to name her 😊👍
No more updates?
Great job..
Detroit diesels are the best..
I just bought a Uniflite that needs a lot of tlc. I’m moving into it to work on it daily! Your videos really will help with all the restorations.
Did yall give up on the boat or just on UA-cam? If it’s for sale I’d be interested.
Do you own any work clothes or do you do all your construction in Lululemon?
Great channel new viewer what size and make is your boat
Great channel ❤
10/10 they broke up but damn I wish I knew what happened to the boat 😆
09:15 Lol 😄
Put a port hole window in the door or find someone with tools and skill to replace the panel.
Must admit.. port-hole or even stain glass sounds like a fix. Plus you could DIY that
I got a name for you,if you haven’t picked one yet, well here it goes Carly!

BEST DIY ON UA-cam!
1:46 again, I know I'm late to the party and this has already been addressed I'm sure, but do you see that blue smoke? That's oil being burnt. Probably should have taken apart the motor and diesel soaked her, still watching through the series
First video I've ever seen from you guys, I look forward to checking out the projects you've done on it! She looks excellent, and if she runs that's a fantastic deal, I can almost guarantee you're going to need to do a lot of wood replacement and I would recommend replacing it with fiberglass and foam board like a starboard, or a liquid transom like material depending on where you're doing whood replacements I look forward to seeing more! Belated congratulations!
One of the reason why fire watch is so important on vessels in port….Obviously recreational boats don’t have the same manpower or resources but the door is a big wake up call. This is more than a year ago. Adding in fire / smoke detection would be something to think about. Adding remote monitoring would be a big one for me…. Subscribed guys….Anyone who doesn’t realize the amount of work to keep a boat going or bringing it back….Should see this. You guys are really putting in the sweat equity.
I suggest a frosted port-hole to fix the burn door
So where did you go???? I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your videos but then you stopped 10 months ago???
Those engines use straight weight oil like sae40 . Not 1540
i wish i was spoiled as fuck and didnt have to work for money.
cant believe you painted over all that varnished wood...gonna be a bitch to maintain.
well you def dont jump a starter from hot to ground with a screwdriver to get it to crank. heh.
5K is not expensive,,, with running engine
I think I would have installed beadboard on some of those walls. They look nautical, modern and easy to keep clean. Could easily add them anytime but anyway you guys are doing great.
