US Army logistics in WWII was conducted by the Transportation Corps, Quartermaster Corps, & the Ordnance Corps. Their branch colors & insignias are pretty cool. TC is (Brick Red/Golden Yellow) & QMC is (Buff or light tan) Ordnance (Crimson/Yellow). Logistics is the current branch (Soldier Red/Bronze). Soldiers in each branch wore piping on their garrison caps to the corresponding corps. Infantry (Blue), Cavalry (Golden Yellow), Tank Destroyer (Black/Orange), hence my picture, Cougar biting down on a tank. That's T.D.
