The drivers side "headlight out" has haunted me for years. Finally it's been fixed! It was the FCM. I previously replaced the fuse box, but that didn't fix the issue. I didn't know how to diagnose it. Your video is extremely helpful and made me confident this wouldn't be another waste of money. Thank you so much! My 2004 with 263k miles lives on.

Hello! Can I just disconnect the yelow and blue connectors and leave the EGR in the truck?

I assume you were showing the stage 1 delete at the start?

Thanks for the great video. Really appreciate your methodological approach to the problem and the FCM pin-out information is invaluable. I have a 2004 1500 that I bought new and this is the second time I've had to fix this problem. First time, a few years ago, I just removed the FCM, sprayed the connector with contact cleaner, put it back together and it was fixed. That didn't work this time unfortunately so I suspected a faulty FCM and reluctantly bought a used one on eBay. Installed it and still no left side low beam. Watched your video and checked pins as instructed and they appeared to have correct voltage and continuity. Reinstalled original FCM and same problem. Because I had a lot of trouble getting a good connection to the pins with my probe probably due to corrosion, I tried wiggling the FCM around on the connector without the hold down screws installed and with the lights turned on. Sure enough, just a few wiggles and the lights started working properly. Just ordered a pin cleaning tool kit. This time I'm going to do the job right and properly clean all the pins and then coat them with dielectric grease before reassembly. I think you wouldn't normally expect corrosion as the problem because the pins looked clean, it's a sealed connector, and my truck has very little corrosion generally because it's been down south it's entire life. But it was in fact the problem. Thanks again for taking the time to make the video, you saved me potentially hundreds of dollars trying to fix what is actually a very simple issue.

Thanks for showing me how to test the fcm. I did the testing with my test light & a jumper wire. Neither 8 or 9 will turn on the lights. We have an 04 2500. I have replaced my fcm 4 times but never the fuse box. Where should I go to next. I blew out my fuse box connectors with canned air & went from 1 low beam to 2 low beam & 1 high beam. It would be great to find my gremlin! Thanks!

I just deleted egr and tuned in my truck. After some time, coolant level started decreasing and stayed at constant low level. However, it was not dripping on the floor. Is coolant decrease due to poor tune which the mechanic did? besides how can i know whether the tuning was done properly or not?

Can you elaborate on your other buttons by where the heated seat buttons are? Are they for cooled seats?

Do I need any software update or alter the ECM?

Pin 8 and 9 light up the test tool in your procedure for me but the lights do not come on for driver or passenger side low beams. My passenger side low beam has not been working but my driver side does work. But driver side does not come on with this test either

Airbag is good, Horn is good, Steering Wheel Controls are good; but I am struggling to figure out how to get Cruise Control basics just like to posted is all I need.

Doing this to a 14 grand Cherokee I’m down to that last pipe from the egr with the 3 8mm bolts. There’s not very much room I’m not sure I can get the pipe off, any downside to blocking the pipe at the top where it hooked to the egr?

Is there a way to delete the EGR cooler and not get caught by emissions inspections? When they plug the electronic reader into the truck, will the computer tell them the egr is gone. Also, I think emission is my State even takes photographs inside the hood. Is there a way to install a dummy device that will fool the inspector?

Spent months with only 1 low beam. After trying to fix it I ended up with no low beam. Followed this and now all working again. I’m so thankful!

I have a 2019 Ram Eco diesel. Why do you delete the egr cooler ?

Cut 2"s of the plastc trim on top of the bumper from the bottom. It will make it fit about wheres he's at. Cut it before you take that piece of the older bumper off.

Did you remove all the excess harness and plugs

Did you drain your def system ? Or did you run it to empty before doing the delete ?

Would this be the same for the 1500?

Hello. Tell me please. I have a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500. the simplest configuration, with manual seat controls. I want to install seats from a 2021 Dodge Ram 3500 Longhorn. I already bought the seats, but now I understand the main problem is with the wires.

My headlight module didn't even need to be replaced it just needed a wiggle and the circuit fixed itself. Thanks a bunch

Thankfully I did all that at 5,000 miles. Now at 175,000 trouble free miles. Averaged over 30 mpg ever since. Kept the DPF to keep things clean, though.

How long did deleting the egr take you?

My markerlights, taillights and fog lights stay on when I turn my truck off, and usually turn off 10 minutes later but sometimes stay on indefinitely. I'll definitely check this module

Why the dealers lift the bodys off..

Did you unplug the sensor with the green tag around the wire? I think it’s an exhaust sensor
