Sunday the 22nd we have our Carols by Candlelight in the City .Last week we had the Christmas Parade and the tree lighting in the Central City Mall so has been a busy time .I posted on my Facebook videos from the tree lighting.

Top of the morning to ya. I have a day off today, so as I sit and enjoy my coffee, I also enjoy Chugabug. I do so enjoy your travels, and I did do as you asked. I went back and watched you vlog on the history of where you are at the present. I must say, I enjoyed this as well. Wow, back in those days when we were still trying to become a nation, you was already industrialized. That is just amazing to me. And to listen to you give the history, shows how much you enjoy the history of your surroundings. Sorry for the length of this, but I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy watching you and your family as you travel the canals. I am 67 years old, I wish I could come over and spend a time doing this. But alas its only a dream. Be careful and I will wait for you to move on again. I did however leave a comment on the post from back then. Even though it is a couple years late.

Great vlog Gary. Will be spending winter on the Llangollen next winter. Was on it earlier this year. Must have missed that launderette, as that is a great bonus for doing the bedding which cannot fit in my twin tub. Only the sheets can. Keep safe, keep warm and enjoy...😊

One way to readily gauge the temperature is the size of the snow particles. Yours look fairly large (and wet!) indicating it is not "perishing" cold and the water points were probably O.K. ...FOR NOW... No ice on the cut but you have to go "with your gut"! Long range armchair gongoozlers like me are not there getting pelted!

Your weather looks like it did here yesterday (December 7th)! Not a "winter person" myself but I deal with it... Some find it enchanting... but I am heading into the 70th one that I have endured... I suspect that the charm is wearing off! Snow as it may, at least you are not "ice-breaking"! Was there ever anything like a canal icebreaker when these cuts were mostly industrial and commercial? Certainly there must have been spells when the canals froze over thick enough to hinder transport of goods.

Very beautiful scenery. Im really looking forward to the time when i can quit work, sell my house and buy a narrowboat.
