The whole reason Varians villain arc was good is because it made sense he was a teenager who wanted to make his father proud and he never had a motherly figure in his life so when rapunzel broke her promise he felt betrayed so his rage was understandable and when he saw his dad stuck in the amber and he couldn’t get him out that fueled his rage even more while just putting Cassandra’s jealousy out of nowhere while her and rapunzel were best friends because she found out that gothel was her real mother even though she didn’t remember gothel as a mother is just out of character for her she would’ve likely told rapunzel that gothel was her mother

Ya, it honestly just seems like without Zhan Tiri creating fake reasons (Ex. the mirror) for Cass to hate Rapunzel (Who was a baby and had no control over these events) there would've been at least 5 less episodes

Maybe they should have ended on the two part episode of season three and spent the rest of the season with Zhan Tiri as a more formidable villain, and Cas spends the rest of the series with the team, talking it out with Rapunzel, trying to have the other citizens forgive her (maybe she does something bigger like Varian does), and maybe she remains as Mooncast as she doesn’t know how to get the moonstone separated from herself, and that’s also a conflict throughout the rest of the season. Then the season finale of, of course, is fighting Zhan Tiri.

I loved the movie but still have mixed feelings about the movie, i think if they wanted to make Gilbert being alive a better ending would be Violet following her new life "alone" (without Gilbert) because she was more decided in the end of the movie of going back to her own life, but everything changed when he showed running at the end. I'm not that upset with the end like a lot of people, i liked it but it could be so much better imo.

Aang killing Ozai isn't murder. Murder is the unlawful and unjustified killing of someone. As Avatar Aang had the moral authority to execute the sentence and after all the Crimes Ozai perpetrated it was completely justified. Infact Aang sparing Ozai wasn't mercy it was a massive injustice to all of Ozai's victims because Aang refused to perform his duty.

Imo Roselia's Six Trillion Years is too much. Its like a 14 yo pretending to be a rockstar in their room. I know the song is meant to be intense but Ichika and Miku have the og instrumental, which is much less cluttered and chaotic than Roselia's. The Roselia instrumental almost irritates me because it distracts from the vocals, which are amazing.

The decision to bring back Gilbert hits me extra hard as a girl who lost her dad at a young age. Before he died, I was scared and thought I'd die too if he died (he was extremely ill so we saw it coming). I couldn't fathom a world without him. Then he died, and I was in shock obviously. For years I was traumatized by the loss. But then I grew and overcame the loss. I had my grief journey and even thought it was painful, I'm glad I had this grief journey, one I could learn from and not be just broken by. The anime did this. It was beautiful. It depicted the process of grief so well. But the movie disrespects all that process. Most people who lost someone to death won't see that person reappear after they have grieved them. My father didn't and won't reappear. When people are gone, they're gone for good. But the people who made the movie act as if it's impossible to survive after someone's death. As if the only possibility of Violet being happy is by removing the very cause of her trauma. How disrespectful is it, to all of us who overcame grief. The worst part is that now fans are spewing the same discourse. "Violet needed Gilbert to have a happy ending". No she didn't. The fact of life is that you don't "need" anyone to stay alive. They die and next day you wake up and realize your body is still working, your heart still beating, your lungs still breathing. You will be sad and grieving and lonely and angry... but you will survive. In short, it pisses me off the carelessness and disrespect grief was treated with. And don't start me on why a father figure becoming romantically involved with the girl he named and raised is sick.
