I’ve just sold my Gen 3 Busa and a new Rocket 3 GT Storm arrives in March. Have a ride on one and see what you think. 0-60 in under 3 seconds face-peeling fast 😈 I’ve still got my RS765, as a small brother to the 🚀

Back in 2022 I got a 1200RR and a Thruxton RS. The new Speed Twin 1200 RS with quick shifter and stuff looks great! The GS would be nice. I just sold my 2012 Tiger Explorer. It got to be too big of a beast for me to move around. You mentioned the T120, a beautiful bike for sure. When the new Speed Twins are in, take a test ride. I think you'll be very pleased. Its going to be around 80° in Tucson tomorrow. I think it's going to be a Thruxton kinda day. Good luck with the decision making.
If it was 80 hear, I most likely would not be looking at getting a GS.
Just get the 1300GS and think it again next year whether you made the right decision or not.

@chanakyatirumala9063 i had a 2018 speed master. Pretty much the same as a bobber except for the rear fender and bars. I'm in Selma, 30 miles south of Raleigh.

It was cold! But glad it warmed up. That was a fun route to do with a small group. The next week looks ice cold 🧊 ❄️ 🥶

I’m in south FL and it was in the 50s over the weekend that’s cold weather for us . I was in a T shirt with hoodie and my rev it black water smock , regular gloves and jeans . I’m from OA tho and consider moving back so I’m sure I’ll need to invest in better gear

I ride with adv gear which works like a charm… no heated stuff cause simply I dont like it… My RKS can use a windshield for days like today otherwise im good😃
I know the adv gear is the best, just can't bring myself to wear it... even when I had my GS... :)
You can not beat heated gloves! I don't have them anymore coming from Boston to Tucson. It gets chilly here. I don't get on a bike when it's cold. I gave my heated gear to Junior. The guys you hooked up with, I'd be happy riding with you and them. I got a 2012 Tiger 1200 with heated seats and grips. I'm selling it to a buddy of mine. Great video Ken.
Tucson gets cold and she gets cold fast😂 I was up Mt Lemmon today and it was FRIGID🥶🥶 even doing the speed limit😂 One of the reasons I love my GSA Trophy. Great video Ken…

The Ivan's flash will do this bike big justice. It unlocks the first 3 gears and so much more. Really gives the bike a new can of beans.

@@Yo-Ken That's amazing to hear. I'm glad you love it. Mine rolled over 100k a bit back. If the rotor hasn't been done or you're unsure, please do it ASAP. Mine failed on the highway at 67k miles. Luckily there was no internal damage. If you wind up doing it, put it in 6th gear. If it's been done, fantastic. You're all set. Safe riding brother! I'm picking up another gen 2 soon. Can't wait. I think it's in the discussion of the best motorcycle ever made. Definitely top 10 of all time, personally.
@M4ttM4n20 This is my second fz1 gen 2. I do all my own work... checkef the rotor a few weeks after I bought the bike. My research showed that only 2015"s had the upgraded rotor, but my 2014 got the factory upgrade. Wow... a 100k, no way I will see that many miles... i have to many bikes to ride.

The second issue you described I have in my 2021 and I’ve had that since day one and I think it’s the brakes.

mostl gear ratios are good by default but, changing it depends on your requirement, its interesting to take a some city traffic test, if you can do it. p.s. can you share link where did you get yours ? thanks for your video and sharing!
@GB600RR For my riding style, it is the best of both worlds. Its been great in city traffic, I don't shift as much. First gear is more usable, I can hold first geat longer. It feels just as quick over all, it still power wheelies with ease. Hi from uk, Recieved my 46 tooth sprocket today but need torque values for sprocket bolts axle nuts etc before fitting really like your reviews and hoping to to do this mod soon as will really suit my style of riding. Thanks in advance.
Thanks, I think you will find the triple is more relaxed on the motorways, without giving up performance. I believe the torque spec is 55nm.

Thanks for sharing! This is a very interesting mod to me considering I spend a lot of time on the highway to get to mountain passes. I wonder if a different rear sprocket will affect the warranty. Please keep reporting on the impacts of this sprocket in the future if you notice anything else. I'm seriously considering changing mine with the next chain replacement.

Been having this bike for bit more than a year now, I feel like when the bike hits 6k-6.5k rpm it begins to have this rather weird vibration, it definitely makes the experience on highway a little bit worse, for the most part I have been going slower to around 70-75 to avoid the fatigue.
It definitely feels less stressed at 80 to 85.
Sooo, we need a side by side with my R to compare, eh?? 😂 Any unusual wear on the original sprocket?

Nice vid . I have the same bike in silver I do notice it’s a little buzzy on the highway, I’d consider doing what you did if I were gonna tour on the bike . Currently waiting on a warranty claim there’s oil weeping out of the left spark plug weep hole by the header pretty frustrating on a brand new bike with 1.5k miles

@ yea I really hope , I’ve read a few times online guys with the same leak having a porous head . At least it’s under warranty but nobody wants that on a new bike

its the original paint... Metallic Regal Blue. Its amazing how well its looks after 47 years.

LOL - Triumph must purchase the TFT screens for a 6-10-year production run. My 2021 had the same screen, and the 2025 is the same. It is infuriating as it is undoubtedly one of the top complaints for a tremendous machine.
I agree, it is a top complaint, who ever approved this design for a sport bike should be dismissed. Having said that, a modern TFT can be updated with new firmware, no need for a need for a new TFT. It is a shame on such great bike, would I buy another new Triumph... not likely. I have emailed there corporate office, and you just get the typical form letter.... blah blah blah.

I agree about he wind, but thats why you buy a naked bike. I need to flash my ECU its supposed to transform the bike low end. For now I bought a booster plug which smooths things out low end. Great bike and great value for money.

I just got mine a week ago it’s amazing. The bike will easily do 150. Full tuck I was doing 145 and it was still pulling. If it had more rpm or gear would prob do 160 before aero starts to get really bad
Have experience with tunecu via cable (Daytona gen 1) and Bluetooth obd2 dongle (Daytona gen 3) now attempting to connect to 23 RS with 6 pin adaptor cable, same obd2 dongle and Bluetooth keeps dropping out after a few seconds Have tried alternate android device, alternate dongle, updated tuneecu and android and keep having the same error either Bluetooth dropping or can’t communicate to the ecu Anyone been through this and have any advice for us please? Thanks
I think your obd ll bluetooth scanner may be the issue. Not all scanners are compatible. This is what I use... OBDLink LX OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner for Android and Windows a.co/d/iKhCFKw

For me, the speed triple sounds much better. Sweet v raucous.
The triple sounds better at speed, the Monster sounds better at idle.
Hi K I got the Triumph TPMS fitted from new, along with most of the other options. Did you not bother with TPMS? I’ve just sold my one-off Gen 3 Hayabusa and now awaiting a new Rocket 3 Storm GT 😈 Cheers buddy Mark 🇬🇧

@@Yo-Ken The TPMS is good and avoids worrying about tyre deflation. I rode the Rocket for a morning recently and it’s just such an epic bike - it accelerates like few other bikes. 0-60 under 3 seconds 😈😈😈
I got the OEM sport mirrors, cruise control, heated grips, running light blinkers, Evotech frame and wheel bobbins, their tail tidy, passenger foot peg delete and radiator guard, Eazi-grip pad, OEM trank pad and paddock stand spools, DNA airfilter and an SP Connect phone mount with conductive charging. Sadly, I don‘t have an exhaust yet. The only legal option I have in the EU is to go with a Spark Euro 5 full system. There is also one from Zard but a lot of people are having problems with those from what I‘ve heard
Lots of cool goodies, thank God we don't have that euro 5 crap here... first thing most bikers do in the states is the exhaust.
@@Yo-Ken Yeah I'm so jealous of that... It's getting more and more crazy here with regulations. They even banned all motorcycles with stationary noise levels above 95 dB from driving in the state next to where I live. The Street Triple with its stock exhaust is just under this limit so I guess I will just leave it as is
Hi how is the paint quality after 1.5 year i like the yellow but i am shitscared of the attention it gets i almost went for silver rs just cause it will blend in better but it is a 2024 display unit and the yellow is the brand new sealed unit dealer is giving the new one with same price as the silver so even more down on the yellow and also is the engine reliable ? ive heard some serious complaints in the initial days but they seem calmer now a days ...i ride hard so wanted a mt09 but heard it is more fuel hungry and when launched in india it will def cost more than the triple
Paint quality is excellent. The only issue with the engine is stalling, only happened a few times in the last 8000 miles, buts its due to the slip on. It never happened with the Stock exhaust. I also push the engine to the max rpm quite frequently. The bike is amazing, and would buy again.
I get your frustration, for sure! Incidentally, what is the actual redline on this bike, because it's kind of hard to tell with the layout of it's tachometers? And also, what is the specific operating temperature in degrees? Thanks!
12000 rpm hits the rev limiter. I don't know what the operating temp is. If you have the TuneECU app, it will give the temp in degrees. I have the app, but never looked at engine temp..

This is because a little bit of rpm headroom is needed beyond your max horsepower at 12k to keep your power from dropping off like at rock when the engine slams into a 12k rev limiter.😕😕😕
@@lateralus9244 Its 12000, i wish it was higher, but saying that the gears are spaced tight and there is no big drop in power on gear changes. Hoping that TuneECU cracks the ecu to I can raise the rev limiter.
