Nietzsche is NOT the smartest man. In my humble opinion, he is not even a very smart man, because he did not see the obvious philosophical ramifications and real-life consequences of his denial of Jesus and promotion of the "Superman", which include Nazi, Starlin, Mao and more importantly, the degradation of the peoples in Nazi Germany, Starlin's Russia, Mao's China, North Korea etc. The degradation includes not only economic hardships those people endured, but also spiritual corruptions in various forms. Go and take a look at the differences between West Berlin and East Berlin, between West Berliners and East Berliners, Between South Koreans and North Koreans, between Taiwanese and Chinese mainliners. Even an ordinary Joe can see the vast differences, but the "genius" Nietzsche did not. So after all, he is not that smart.
