Thanks for sharing this adventure MD. In the 1990s I worked for a Coal Water & Soil Lab. I was a Coal Quality Sampler, worked in KY, WVa and Va chasing those Coal Trains 🚂. I got to see some of the most breathtaking Train Railroad Bridges in those Mtns! Amazing to see a 100+ railroad car long train passing through the air from Mtn top to Mtn top! This brings back lots of memories for me!

My pistol was taken because my husband had a serious metal health crisis. Almost a year of me trying to get it back, after he had died, I finally managed to get it back. They had rendered it permanently inoperable. Even though I hadn't done anything wrong and the reason for my firearm being taken has been dead for months. And I wasn't compensated. I had to replace it out of my pocket. It's a mistake to assume that anything taken will be given back and it doesn't matter why it was taken. Edited to add: And I live in a red state and my husband was a blonde haired, blue eyed German boy. You can't get whiter than that so it's not just an issue for minority populations or poor people because we're not poor and we're both veterans. Own our home, at least the mortgage on it. It didn't matter.

Good thing somebody has good luck with them. I bought one few years back I bought one. I couldn't keep deck belt on it and the engine blew up at 138 hours. Luckly it had been took to the shop enough and they honored the warranty because it was just out. They replaced the engine. But I continued to have issues with deck belts. Good luck. If I had a property like that. I would look into getting a 4x4 with front loader. Or just use old type cub cadet with cast iron axles and drive shaft. They were made to use.
