i forgot about this video but now im back here, it made me wonder why sometimes my PC can run like 6 apps plus vrchat in vr really well and at 72fps flat, no drops then sometimes it just cant run a single player world despite all the performance saving i could manage im on a 1050ti and i3 10105f💀

if you happen to have any of the pico headsets starting from neo3, the pico 2.0 trackers are a no brainer and for someone that has a compatible pico headset cant be beaten on price, quality or easy of use. picked them up recently recently and was very impressed.

Hey man, I just stumbled upon this video, and I watched it the entire way through. Such a well-made guide and it's quite frankly amazing you were able to put together that entire setup for so cheap. I was really surprised seeing how many subscribers you had when I actually clicked away from Google to UA-cam, I expected at least a million. You must be one of the most underrated UA-camrs ever.

quacking KNEW IT, fast storage and high v-ram are what vrc benefits the most, ofc having a raw performance is great overall, if you're planing to "main" vrc, thats the way to go. on a side note. i have been wanting to build this machine whatever money "hops in" my pocket r5 5600g and its vega 7 graphics (at first, so i can put my beloved uhd 620 along side my current i5 8250u to rest) b550m motherboard 2x8GB ddr4 500gb m.2 600w power-supply 80 plus bronze full tower with 3~4 fans (mash front) and last but no least, the mentioned... 3060ti '°³° but hey i'm aiming for the 12gb triple fan from msi headset wise, quest 2, no doubt, prices for imported ones like pico 4 / 4 pro, where i live are basically double the listed price (not to mention the currency conversion you need to do first before doubling it { cries in Brazilian } ) FBT tracking... isn't on my plans, for now, but likely an IMU based system, specially given that by the time i get all the base vr stuff, solutions like axis will be way more refined, hopefully ;p now given the mentioned country, time to do the old reliable, sorgy for any atrocities above, engrish is not my native language ( ouo)b

I got the 5600x cpu b550m monther board, with 16 gb ram, and an rtx 3060, not the ti because the ti has 8gb vram and the regular has 12gb

(original post vanished for some reason) I just had a look at the connection code, why not resolve the ip based on the local dns name? That way it will always work and you don't need to assign a static ip Iinm all it takes is import socket and then call gethostbyname("hostname") and if you do pass it the ip still it just gives back that same

you kinda forgot that magnetometers just completely fuck the whole tracking when you have too many electronics around which is for normal users pretty much always the case

4:14 i may be a bit late but dont forget to check if the motherboard has a wifi adapter if you dont want to use ethernet, not all motherboards come with wireless internet

PSA, while this might be fun you risk damage to your headset's screens when the lenses are exposed to direct sunlight. Theu can focus the light and literally burn thw screens inside. Be careful with your headsets my friends.

I would love to see a video on using a quest or quest pro for full body tracking with slime vr for hip tracking. This is the method I use, you stream tracking reference only on amvr for the headset and connect another to steam vr. I would especially love to see if this headset could do the same with it's occlusionless tracking. It is a bit of trouble to set up the first time but it had great results.

I personally didn't notice the edge distortion until I really looked for it, and I couldn't quite figure out why people notice it so easily. To be fair, I came from a vive straight to an 8kx so I had very little to complain about. The edges of your view in an 8kx are comparable to the sweet spot in a vive, in my opinion.
