It's one of the three common slots that can be replaced with a rare or higher. You always get an uncommon. So if you only get two commons upfront, then you have something higher waiting.

The purpose of the flaps with the boosters on them is for retailers to put up FPO boosters for display that you would then take up the counter to then buy the real pack. It's a common practice in China and Japan.

I was able to secure a Foil Ariel for my Steel Song deck, so that was pretty awesome. Maybe once the prices of the packs regulates I’ll buy some more. :) Sweet pulls!

Not sure I heard but how did you find the card thickness? I read that the Chinese and Japanese were thicker

Solid fat box opening! I’m not a fan of the Chinese skinny packs, but they definitely serve a purpose. Magic offered packs with that same basic configuration - not sure about the guaranteed foil, though - in mass market retail stores with the Bloomburrow set. Was more for casual collectors/kids to allow them to open some furry forest animal cards and have fun with some art. Seems like the skinny Chinese packs might be doing the same. I ordered a Japanese booster box which offers a different configuration - 3-1-1-1. We’ll see how that goes. I do wonder how the Japanese skinny packs will work for Pack Rush. Just use four packs?

My goal or bucket list is to one day join a championship. Even if I don’t win, just to be able to participate and see other players who have the same interest as you is refreshing. Staying at the same hotel as other players must feel like you guys are all one big family. I started collecting Lorcana a year ago but didn’t start playing up until a few weeks ago and I love it. I even got my brother into Lorcana. With him coming from Pokemon it was hard but he loves it now. It’s quite expensive to go to a championship but I’m saving my money because this looks like a lot of fun to participate in. I just want to have fun with the community. I haven’t went to my LGS to play yet because I don’t feel like I’m good enough but one day I want to. I’m just taking it all in. Thanks for this video the information is very helpful. 😊
