A tip to make good looking cobblestone bases quickly is to use milliput (or greenstuff, or a mix) and a cobblestone roller from greenstuff world. It's quite quick and easy and makes great bases. As for a tip to build your undead warband, make sure you get the dregs. Also I would swap the zombies out for a direwolf or two.

Thank you a very useful and inspiring video. I prefer a limited pallet. My only issue is the lack of blue, which because it is a primary colour cannot be made and without a blue a green could be an issue, or have I got that wrong. I must admit watching painting videos where dozens of colours are used many of them with ridiculous names, makes me wince at times. I'm doing some middle ages figures in a slightly grimy muted scheme and am going to try the none metalic metals method. Once again an enjoyable and interesting video. Regards Lexi.

I loved your note about modifying models to suit your needs. On my Tyranid models, the first thing I do after assembly is cover up all their eyes, because my Tyranid army is all eyeless, and while it's a tiny change, it really helps them feel more personal to me.

The more I hear and see about the Zorn pallette and other limited pallette ideas, the more I think about trying them out. I need to just start printing a backlog of miniatures, big scale miniatures, and busts I have from STL bundles, the sort of thing that is cool but I haven't found a gaming use for, and try limited pallette stuff on them for fun.

I really like this limited palette look. Plus, it seems both easier in some ways, and more intriguing creatively in others.

I thought this was going to be another Army Painter John Blanche sets video, since those also use the Zorn pallette. :)

Bravo man, this turned out! I really enjoy the final look of CM minis! Informative and interesting. The limited palette is a really great way to explore the corners of painting. That Black + Yellow Ochre is such a simple "black". slayed the paint on these!!!

Something I wish we could introduce into the miniature painting hobby is the existence of mixing white. Titanium white mostly contains (as the name would imply) titanium which has great coverage. Mixing white contains a high amoutn of Zinc instead which is more transparent. The result is that when using mixing white it doesn't desaturate other colours as strongly as a titanium white does. I'm amazed none of the big paint brands have included this in their line up yet. At least to my knowledge.

Awesome vid. I knew I wanted to do mine like that but was going to use Gryph-Charger Grey as my shade as I've used the combo throughout my order armies. My issue was working out how I wanted to apply the other colours in my chosen pallet. So thank you for the nudge.

I really dislike heavy grey schemes. Your minis look like unpainted grey plastic from about 2m away. Even in this video, during the zoom out shots, you start missing details. At least use colors that make the mini stand out, show the effort of painting, and look good while playing from 40cm-200cm. This scheme manages to do the opposite.

I would recommend also mixing in some white paint into the snow goop, PVA yellows over time.

Tripping in the wrong location is definitely how I get most of my minis.
