Absolutly, i have a loud vibrant colored 4th edition warhammer army that could blind someone with its vibrancy. It's just so fun to paint with more colorful tones.
I painted a mini for a board game tonight and the character card featured clothes that were off-white and beige. I usually stick pretty close to the reference art but just couldn't do it tonight and used vibrant yellow and orange as the main colors with a small splash of dark red. By pure chance, this video was recommended by UA-cam almost as soon as I had finished painting. Needless to say, I agree wholeheartedly that sometimes you just need to let it rip with bold colors. You can have some fun and get a gorgeous mini at the same time!
Been getting into Moonstone myself so seeing your vids on it has been good inspiration. I actually really like how textural your NMM is, it fits the sorta illustrative style of moonstone well. keep up the great owrk!
Just found your channel today thanks to Black Magic Craft. I really like your sketch style, and i definitely need to add more colour to my painting...i have the colours, just need to use them Also, love those bases!!!
I love the sculpts, but they are SO fragile. I am very careful with my minis, but those are special. Broke two details while painting...and when we were playing my buddy broke another two of them. He just tipped them over and it was enough to break off the swords. :(
When using the speed paints as a base do you varnish or anything after that or just give them adequate time to dry before moving on to your brush work?
Thanks for watching! Are you team vibrant colours???
always

These turned out great. I’m still struggling to find more time to paint. Hopefully soon.
