Any detail on mods to the q7? I am about to pulley mine but cannot find an intake system or exhaust. 2019
How to remove? Any videos?
Any solution to remove the burn marks from the exhaust pipe??
Stock suspension?
Do it again uncle lane 🫡
Aah man this brings me back! Had a prestige a6 that came with 20” rims so sick, had it tuned and straight piped to cherry bomb turbo mufflers. Sounds exactly like this but with deeper rumble to it. These car are smooth and fast. I could burn all four from dig felt n pulled like GTR but AUDI. Nice car bro✌️
I love you little brother Jampiel ❤️
Sounds amazing
I'm shocked with all that money dropped the forks and shock weren't upgraded. The suspension is generally considered the weakest component on this generation.
Where' you get it tune?
Thanks for the video 👍
Not loud enough
ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Explorer 5 star tune... which is why almost No one uses a 5 star tune anymore...
lmao "Stage 5 700 HP" complete tool bag loser.
And helped it did. Thanks.
Do the test pipes pull a code?
Does it smell?
if you are impatient like me 1:17
I appreciate the effort; but, as is the case with many other video makers, you really need to learn to stop talking all the time, and let us listen properly to the engine.
I have the 2022 Euro 5 model, can you please give me the model of the Vance & hines mufflers you used.
Sounds like if you remove the dB killers and install an X-pipe, you will for the most part have an aftermarket sounding exhaust? Looks like the stock mufflers are straight through once you yank those plugs out, so the CAT box under the motor is the primary restriction and sound reducing part of the system?
Do you have a link to the pipes?
Some reason when putting mine back in they seem loose
You’re the MAN! This answered my question exactly!
top class
Awesome bike.
Would it be easy to place the baffle back for the stock sound? And what size Nelson Rigg is that on your bike- seems like a good size for the speed twin? Nice bike!
Fantastic mate!
Hello Lane Gordon, Have you ever seen signs of coolant leaking from the small hole in the middle of the oil pan under your speed twin?
Sounds beautiful
Sounds great. That was the route I was looking to go. Like the V&H sound. Just want to confirm that for the '22 you are using the Triumph part number A9600887 cans. Of course they are getting hard to find but I think they are the correct ones for that setup. Thanks for the vid.
Some on eBay right now mate .. £400
What did you have to do to make this work? Specifically are the V&H silencers bolt on?
Nice idle thump. And still keeps you from smelling like exhaust fumes with the cats still in
Sounds great! And man, that's a jack stand I need to make. 👍
Sounds great, the down pipes on the euro 5 is the same as the euro 4 so it should be quite easy to de-cat, all you need is chose a xpipe of your choice and a pair of side pipes from a euro 4 then any slip on’s that fit a euro 4
I read the euro 5 cat was welded on. It might not be that easy. I just bought the euro 5 speed twin… I still have to check that rumor though.
@@rft9004 ..yes,apparently it is welded on...to stop tampering...no doubt there will be some way around this !..
Cat is welded as shown in this video. ua-cam.com/video/HjwyC3xAthw/v-deo.html
3.0 tfsi model? Im pretty sure they have stronic gearboxes..
Not in an A6 or SQ5
Great upgrades but come on man, get a tail tidy on that thing!! Great bike though!
Hi, I bought a new 2021 Speed Twin and i find a problem of engine heat while riding it at low speeds or in traffic. The hot air literally feels in my thighs which makes the ride unpleasant. Is there anything that can help reduce the hot air or solve this issue?
Yes. Remove the catalytic converter.
@@FastLane1000 please tell how to remove it as I don’t know much about this bike parts. Thanks
Late reply, but you should get the ecu flashed. There's guides on UA-cam but googling "tuneecu" will get you pointed in the right direction.
How did you take them off? Can you please explain with a few more steps? Thanks
You just unscrew them and slide them out. Only U.S. models though. I swapped mufflers for the Vance and Hines since. I could sell my stock ones if interested.
Stunning
How hard was it to sneak the right side out of the frame rail? I obviously removed the left side but was having trouble sneaking it the xpipe on the right side due to the tab. I figure I’ll give it another try tomorrow
I removed the right side frame rail completely
@@FastLane1000 Ah that’s what I was thinking to do next. Thank you for replying!
@@FastLane1000 Ok for right side guide of the frame you mean the one where the side stand is fixed?
@@alexc.3057 The right side as you are sitting on the bike...the side with the die stand is the left.
I didn’t know this was possible!! Did you have to take the slip on off to get that screw? I can’t see it
So many questions did you have to get new down pipes as originals are welded to the CAT, how does it run I thought anti tamper ECU meant you couldn’t do this anymore, and that it would run too lean. How was fitting?. Sorry just really thought you couldn’t do this with Euro 5 speed twin and really inspired by the fact you have?!
Yeah I have the same questions. I want just a bit more volume from mine otherwise I love the stock exhaust honestly
You reuse the same headers. As was mentioned, the mid pipe ( which contains ANOTHER Cat) is welded on to the Cat. The headers connect to the Cat and the cross pipe in the traditional manner...collars at the head and clamps at the Cat. I used the new Freespirits as Lane did. It comes with the x pipe and the mids which just bolt back up to everything just the way it came off. Except for new clamps for the Cat to the mids like on previous year. The Free spirtis kit comes with the mids and is a little more pricey. Removal is a bit of a PITA but not terrible if you are patient. Save yourself the effort and just remnove the frame rail on the right side and the whole thing (Cat and welded mid pipes) just slides right out. I did mine today and it took about two hours including putting the bike up on the new lift. That was for dissasembly, Cat removal and the installation of the new x pipe. Tomorrow I will clamp the header pipes and mids to the cat and slip the mufflers back on. I imagine another hour or so be fore wipe down and sound check. Feel free with any questions.
@@davidmohr4004 I don't understand what you mean by right frame guide if you look at the bike from the back or from the front, do you mean the one where the side stand is installed?
@@alexc.3057 no the right side as in the right while you are sitting on the bike. The RIGHT frame rail. The opposite of the kickstand side which is the left side of the bike. If you remove the right frame rail (3 bolts) the cat and the welded mid pipes come right out. You can then reisntall the frame rail and have LOTS of room to put the new X pipe in with loads of room to work and reconnect the headers and mid pipes.
I'm curious if you have had any issues whatsoever with the ecu? Since you removed both the underneath cat, as well as the slip-ons that have cats in them now, withthe substantially reduced back pressure, have you noticed any problems with the ECU at all?
👍👍👍👍
Did it cause any low speed throttle hesitation? When I changed the slip on on my street triple 2020 it took some of the throttle response away down low because no tuning is available for it. I’m picking up a speed twin tomorrow and wondering what kinda options I have for a bit more volume. It’s got enough performance already
Sounds good. GB🍊
Video doesn’t do justice as to how good the Triumph Street Twin sounds. One of the best factory exhausts.
wrong bike, it's a Speed Twin...
I need that exhaust! So cool! Very nice bike my friend
