I’m going through something similar with my relationship and the fact that I want to be on the road full time and my partner does not. Glad you guys have settled on something that works for both of you. I’m glad you will continue your road life journey. I have an Astro Van and would definitely recommend it! It’s perfect for a solo person and it’s also comfortable enough for a couple for short periods of time. Will you bring your kitty on the road with you?? I am looking forward to seeing what you chose next! 🚐💚

I have been doing mobile living 5 years and enjoy it in my van, really think things over between what you both want in life, don't put up a bunch of walls in your relationship before it even starts, take your time and use wisdom and think a bunch of things over before any major decisions 🎉

*You’re engaged?!* Congrats! But also, how will you be married ... _apart??_ Just dating I would think would be tricky, but setting up a life together...setting up a house when neither agree what type of roof you want to be under is kind of a pink flag. Please just be very sure of what you’re choosing: be it in the relationship or the van/apt, lest one of you end up settling for something less than what you wanted in the long run and feel a bitterness for it later. Wishing you much wisdom and happiness!

Geez, Sorry to hear this really. I was just subbed a few weeks ago, watched a few of your videos and was looking forward to many moore. Great reminder to wear face protection using power tools, ohhh and yes condems too. Yes, people are going to be Why did you do this. Very unfortunate. It's OK though. You're young enough still to be able to shift directions. Yeah, Sprinter is ridiculous expensive, and they are expensive to maintain and do have problems. Just try to find one those high top conversion vans, like an Explorer or Regency up fitter companies. Then gut it and build it. Those vans usually use poor quality thin leather and materials, but the fibreglass top extensions are usually good and MOST don't leak. Should be able to pick up a 90's or 2000's by now fairly reasonable and have a modern powertrain. Go for it, build your own. A van won't be near as hard as your bus was and you'll want it the way you want it, so this way you can build it just the way you want it. Materials cost will be much less than your bus too. Good for Kenny for at least trying it for YOU. That lifestyle is NOT for everyone. Sounds like you're 2 different people. However, don't let anyone tell you that is can't work. Love each other enough, it damn sure can.

I've been looking at importing a Toyota hiace as a full time rig. It gets amazing gas mileage, its small but still has an 8 foot bed with the typical folding sides that you get from Japanese trucks, and 4x4. Its only 6 feet tall stock and about 14ft long. The only things you would have to do is build/source a box for the back. I planned on making a box out of steel square tube and either aluminum sandwich panels or homemade plywood xps panels. You could also just put a typical slide in truck camper on the back.

Good idea to downsize so you can access all areas, I agree with the chap who said get a Chevy suburban , our friends in the USA , Georgia have one that’s done 350000 miles. Mind you I have a 2013 Honda CR-V but it’s probably too small for camping in. Can’t wait to see the walking videos. Love you bye too😂

You shouldn't worry about what "we" say. It's your life and you should do what you want to do. With that said, I think you should try to get used to driving the bus before Kenny leaves and maybe you'll find that it's not that bad driving it. There are other women solo bus lifers and they drive them just fine. The bus has many benefits. For one, it's already finished and has everything you want/need. But that's just my opinion. If that doesn't suite you then definitely sell it. However, buying a pre-built van might be an issue. You don't know whether someone cut corners when building it or if they followed best practices. I'm not saying don't buy a pre-built, just that your bus could be better because you KNOW how you built it. And living in a car is ok but it's cramped and there's no water, other than a jug or two, no toilet, no shower, etc.

definitely look in to a van. let's face it, you still want to be somewhat comfortable. you can still have a shower in a van, kitchen, bed when properly designed. i've looked in to a bunch of different layouts. there's soooooooo many. i just couldn't ever imagine living in a car. but a van with a living area i could. living in a car just screams homeless. but in a van it's a mini RV.

I just can't imagine preferring to use gross, germ filled showers that are used by hundreds of people to my own private, super clean shower. There's something distinctly odd about people who don't want to use their own clean bathroom over a public one. That's like if you lived in a house or an apartment and you preferred to use public showers and restrooms over your own home. It's crazy if you think about it that way. Your bus is your home....

You can buy tint that blocks IR rays too. For bus windows it would be really easy to install, I got some for my living room sliding glass door and it really helps. Edit: I guess I should mention IR rays are where most of the heat comes from.
