A real treat to watch your video whilst on a sun lounger in Portugal! I didn't attend UK Games Expo this year so I have to live the experience vicariously through you both. Can you share any secrets on this plan or is it just wait and see ? 😊

There's a handful of ideas that may help us, as well as changing up our style of video. Perhaps filming fixing up our house, gaming area, basement, and outdoor area while we review games or go over lists. So sort of a hybrid of a vlog and board games. I'm not sure if people would be interested in that type of content, but I think it could help balance our schedule between projects we want to do and videos. Also, filming a season ahead of time so we have enough time to edit and not rush. There's a handful of other ideas, but what do you think about those? Any suggests or ideas of content you'd like to see?

These ideas sound great 👍. It's just having the focus and discipline to keep things consistent is the tough part.

I'm glad to be posting again, and it's good to hear from you. We are working on a few ideas on how to be back to posting more regularly. We may pivot to shorts in the meantime while we figure out our workload for longer videos

Some Batman villains are definitely scary (Scarecrow, Joker, Man-Bat, Killer Croc, El Diablo, Professor Pyg...)

I like that a lot! I've had a couple of issues with ultra competitive people who would complain saying that if they knew all the rules at the beginning, they would have played the entire game differently. But with the exception of those people, I do like this method of teaching

Most game nights, I will bring 4-10 board games. Then, I send out a list to those playing the game. If a game is heavy of rules, I ask them to watch tutorials ahead of time. Rarely people actually do that. However, those who then complain about not knowing all of the rules ahead of time, I can ask them if they watched the tutorials? Again, most of the time, the answer is no. Then it is on them if they did not do their homework.

Lately, we haven't spent much on accessories or games, for that matter. We're tying to cultivate our collection a bit more, so it is only games we really really enjoy.

Petrified looks incredible! I love that it has Dale and Trucker in it. As for this coming into the mainstream I'm sure Ravensburger could secure the license to make these games, but there's some threads you can find about how the developers that worked on Dead By Daylight(video game) had a rough time working with the IP holders and modeling the characters, like Mike Myers and I think Ghost Face had a licensing issue where they got the rights to use the attire but couldn't reference the movie Scream.

We got it for Christmas a few weeks ago, and even though we only played it once, I really enjoyed it! Probably be in a video for next Christmas

I know there was a Scooby-Doo board game that came out a year or two ago, I wonder if it plays like horrified.

@@MIsForMeepleI have a Scooby Doo Munchkin and a Scooby Doo Betrayal at Mystery Mansion (Betrayal at House on the Hill).

Horrified is rated for 10 and up, but the base mechanics aren't hard. I think a 9 and 7 year old could get it. Since it's cooperative, you could could collectively decide what each character does. The biggest hurdle might be explaining how to defeat each monster
